Session 1

ArkhamByNightLogs | Session2 >

 • Diana Stanley, wealthy young debutante and known member of a Secret Society, approached the coterie in Velma's Diner.⚠

 • Ms. Stanley asked the coterie to solve a problem with Rex Murphy, local reporter.⚠

 • Rex is reporting on a series of "monster" sightings at the docks.⚠

 • Somehow, despite being involved in a number of supernatural cases, Rex has not yet been disappeared or turned up dead.⚠

 • Ms. Stanley says the "monsters" are obviously fake, since she has reliable information that one of the "monsters" is a dead woman.⚠

 • Rex's reporting is in danger of causing serious embarrassment to one of Ms. Stanley's associates, she wants it stopped.⚠

 • Ms. Stanley doens't care if Rex is "taken care of" or the mystery is dealt with, whatever it takes to stop him reporting on it. ⚠

 • The coterie pays a visit to the Arkham Advertiser newspaper offices and meets Randy, the security guard.⚠

 • Leo tried to convince Randy to let him into the building on business, but Randy was concerned for his job.⚠

 • Clinton tried to intimidate Randy, but was not entirely successful.⚠

 • Nuala attempted to cover for Clinton's ham-fisted brutishness, but just rattled Randy further, prompting him to try calling the police.⚠

 • Finally, Dr. Hyde stepped in and used mental powers to convince Randy to let them in. ⚠

 • Dr. Hyde then went to work smoothing out Randy's memories of their entrance to make them less alarming.⚠

 • Leo and Clinton headed upstairs to search for Rex's office. They overheard him talking to the cleaning lady, Amelia.⚠

 • Nuala waited on the stairs, ready to intercept anyone fleeing if things got violent or strange.⚠

 • Clinton introduced himself as a monster hunting "cryptozoologist" from Tennessee, but his story of man-eating fish monsters was not taken seriously.⚠

 • Rex eventually revealed three photographs of the Dockside Monsters, showing them to be pale, wet, dressed in rags, covered in unknown stains and tainted by some kind of blood poisoning or rot.⚠

 • After learning what they could from Rex, the coterie left the building to investigate the docks.⚠

 • There was a brief debate if they should murder Rex, but it was eventually decided that they should investigate the docks first and consider murder later, if necessary.⚠

 • When the coterie arrived at the docks, they found a policeman chasing down a strange figure and followed him.⚠

 • The policeman chased his quarry into a dark alley, where the pursued figure dumped a woman's body into the corner before turning to attack.⚠

 • The creature, presumably one of the Dockside Monsters, moved inhumanly fast to attack the policeman after he drew his weapon and threatened it.⚠

 • Before any of the coterie could react, the Monster had disarmed and tackled the policeman, ending his screams by biting into his throat.⚠

 • Leo picked up the discarded gun⚠

 • Nuala went to check on the woman the Monster had dropped in the alley.⚠
