< An Odd Sphere | Ex Pulplogs | The Fight Ends For Now >

ST With Carmine's assurances that she will survive whatever traps the Dragon-Blooded have laid for her, the rest of the Circle hangs back as Carmine steps forward into the black stone chamber with it's three black stone pods and the large, ornate door bound in iron and Jade, marked with the black sunburst.

Carmine walks up to the door, looking at it for a moment from up close before she pushes on it to open it

ST As soon as Carmine's fingers touch the surface of the door a brilliant flash of light wells up from within the depths of the blackened sunburst. Flooding through the room it shoves Carmine back with the force of a hundred screaming hurricanes!!

ST Even those at the door are pushed backwards by the force of the unleashed blast of wind and power!

Corve , shaken, falls back, grunting at the impact. But he catches himself, pushing onto his elbows to watch Carmine inside the tormentuous chamber.

Xar`Rex blinks as the winds, and incidentally, his friends are blown past him like leaves. He remains unmoved, and mildly confused.

Carmine picks herself up from behind corve, excited and a little annoyed, but otherwise unharmed.

Myrrh struggles against the wind before flying backwards with a suprised grunt, he slams into the wall with a thud and slides down it. "I think i'm ok..."

Corve turns at Carmine with a raised brow. "That was interesting."

Carmine "Strong winds." She scowls.

Myrrh "Funny...I would have figured a death beam of some kind. Not that i'm complaining."

ST As the blinding light which accompanied the powerful blasts of wind dies away and the Circle can see into the darkened room ahead they find themselves faced not with three stone pods set into the walls, but three warriors freed from an ancient, stone-protected slumber.

ST Two flank the door with its dark sunburst and a third is only a few feet from the entrance where the Circle stands. All three are armed and armored with Jade and unpleasant expressions aimed at the Circle.

Myrrh "Hi?"

ST The two on at the door are both men in heavy armor. On the right stands a man who glares at them with bright green eyes hidden by strands of brown hair in which flowers grow abundantly. His bow is already drawn to his ear, pointed at the group.

Myrrh "I don't think they understand me..."

Xar`Rex cocks his head at the newly revealed warriors, "We have awoken you. Do you wish to remain inside this tomb, or leave with us?"

Xar`Rex tries speaking in High Realm

Corve is slowly beginning to pick himself up, not because he's hurt, but because he's wary.

ST His companion bears a White Jade mace almost as large as Corve’s daughter and considerably more deadly looking.

ST Carmine’s eye is most attracted to the fire-dressed woman standing only a foot away, her twin blades curved like a serpent and dancing with sparks of red-violet lightning. The woman smiles at her and assumes a posture Carmine feels she would once have recognized.

Archer "We understand your words and that you have woken us from our sleep. Leave now or we shall be forced to slay you."

Xar`Rex "You are guardians here, yes? Then you should know that we seek only that which will save Brume. Surely the one who built it would want this."

Archer "We care naught for her wishes nor for her creation. Leave now."

Carmine "No. We came in here to get something."

Myrrh "Well we have...uhhh...what was the name of the dragon blooded in the ball Corve?"

Archer "You may leave with your lives or nothing at all."

Corve is silent, carefully eyeing the archer. His style. "... Sands."

Myrrh "I'm sure he could clear things up!"

Myrrh glances at Corve, then back to the trio. "We can show you if you'd just let us get the ball out and..."

Xar`Rex "I don't think he will come out, but they might be able to enter."

Corve "I don't think they care about that, either, Myrrh."

Archer "Your friend is quite correct. I grow weary of repeating myself. Leave or we will slay you."

Archer may be the only one talking, but his two friends are saying a great deal by the way they watch the Circle for any sign of weakness and finger their weapons happily.

Corve "... why is it that everyone is so sure they can kill us?" He looks at his companions with a raised brow. "I mean, we're still /here/."

Carmine rolls her shoulders a little, and calls on Eminence. "I don't know Corve. Maybe it's because they die before they can tell anyone...?"

Myrrh "Why are you here anyway? Shouldn't there be something more conventional, like fetiches?"

Corve "Oh yeah." And his rifle is out, flipped over his shoulder and falling snug into his expert hands. "... hate to repeat what others have said, boys, but we need something." His tone's firm. No more fucking around.

ST The red-robed woman smiles broadly as Carmine produces Eminence. She brings her two red-sparked blades around in a guard position. "I do like your sword." Her voice is sweet, if a bit raspy from disuse.

Carmine smiles at her as Eminence starts to sing, slipping her hands into a two handed grip. "Yours are beautiful too."

Corve "Ah, damn, they're bonding."

Xar`Rex sighs, "Well let us kill each other then, as we do not have time to argue." With that, he shifts and grows, more than half again his original size. His fangs and claws lengthen, his scales thicken visibly even through the white stone of his form, and he lets out a mighty roar!

Corve "Ow. My ears." But he's grinning, and his rifle's hammer is cocked as he gives their opponents a satisfied smile. Carmine's been influencing his attitude, it seems.

ST Giving Carmine a dignified bow the Fire-Aspected warrior steps forward to meet her opponent. Sliding past Carmine's first defense with hardly a blink she sends her blades out in a crimson flash to test the Solar woman's defenses.

Carmine smiles as she slips past the first counter, spinning as the womans strikes fly towards her, Eminence singing as it moves to carress the fire aspect's form once more.

ST Seeing that his female companion is dealing with the most dangerous-looking Solar, the Wood Aspect takes aim at the weakest-looking of the Solars. Myrrh. With an expression of sympathy for the Solar, he releases three arrows from his bow in a rapid-fire flurry that Myrrh has trouble following. Even more distracting is the fact that as they fly, they're getting bigger.

Myrrh goes wide-eyed at the sight of three giant log arrows, he leaps aside, channeling his essence to bend his limbs and give him speed. He castemark flares, a golden half sun on his forehead. "I didn't know they could do that!"

ST The archer seems unconcerned as Myrrh nimbly avoids the first two sapling-sized arrows and is only winged in the side by the third. Myrrh wonders at his calm until he notices small red seeds embedded in the wound and starts feeling rather odd...then it starts to hurt significantly as red-black vines begin crawling under his skin, seeking a place to root inside his body.

Corve watches the lumbering ox sidle over, and looks up with a cocky, head-tilted smile. "That's a big stick you got there," he says. And then it's coming down at him, and Corve's movements are shadow-smooth; a flitting twist, the sun's light on his forehead as he twists, ducking low and slipping away like an earth-bound shadow to move behind his opponent in defense.

Xar`Rex 's eyes flare red, and he reaches out a massive clawed paw, gesturing at Carmine he lifts the flames off of her body and condenses them into a single point of blue-white flame that flies over to Myrrh and flashes for a second in his wound, consuming the seeds before they can fully take root.

Carmine feels the wounds begin to burn inside her, though no pain is evident on her face as she once more dances towards the woman in red, ribbons coiling around the pair of them in the flames as she slices twice.

Corve feels the slice of the edges of the mace rasp along his body, hissing at the pain; it is pushed far away as he stumbles, slipping around his opponent. The corner of his eye catches his lover's predicament, and he's dropping: from stumble to tumble, the Night caste aims from between his own opponent's legs, two shots funneling themselves; corruscating with gold and silver Essence from his rifle at the Fire

Corve * Aspect. They reach her before his shoulder even hits the ground.

ST Distracted and unable to avoid the bullets, the flaming warrior-woman staggers away as they drill into her back. She turns her ire on Corve and from the expressions of the other two it's clear that now...it's personal!

ST While Corve is on the ground from his attack against the swordswoman the big Earth Aspect takes a breath to summon Fire to him. As he expels the breath, sparks dance along the surface of his mace and it arcs unerringly, unforgivingly toward Corve. This time the Earth Aspect seems in no mood to play around!

Carmine had already turned, as the shots rang out, the woman infront of her bleeding as they slammed home, looking at Corve with anger in her eyes. An anger transfered to the Earth aspect as he slams attacks into her love. "NO-ONE tries to do that to Corve." She screams as she runs at the man, streaming trailers of solar fire behind her as she runs, leaping up and then bringing the blade down on the earth aspect once, twice, trice.

ST The Earth Aspect snarls at Carmine and stamps his foot in her general direction. At the stamp the floor cracks and breaks, sending six boulders flying up into defencive postures around the stony warrior. Three of them shatter as they intercept Carmine's attacks while three more remain floating, waiting to defend against further attacks

ST As the Fire-woman dances with Carmine the Wood Aspect decides to continue attempting to eliminate the weakest link of the Solars, though he'll take a chance at Carmine if he can fit her in. Arrows flash out from his bow accompanied by a scent of sweet flowers.

Myrrh dives back INTO the three logs imbedded into the wall, contorting between them to get away from the new batch!

Xar`Rex growls and barrels his immense bulk infront of Myrrh, smashing the arrows off course, and hurling a bolt of flame back at the archer that travels through one of the arrows, incinerating it as it heads straight for her bow hand

ST The archer backs up a few steps as the fire flashes against him, washing away as he momentarily washes himself in green fire. A few bits of his body are smoking, but he looks fine. Especially as two razor-thorned roses fly from his bow to strike weakly at Xar

Xar`Rex knocks the arrows away, snarling.

Myrrh incensed at Xar's brave sacrifice, Xar slips out of the tree trunks, landing on his stomach with a grunt but aiming his rifle at the dragonblood. He takes momentary aim before charging his perceptions with essence, steadying his hands and giving him insight into his targets movements, he fires, sending a crackling ball of essence at the dragonblooded's bow!

Corve has evaded the blows; a flawless roll of his shoulders to send him flipping back and away as Carmine assaults his opponent, and is in turn assaulted. "HEY! LEAVE HER ALONE!" Corve's face furrows and his eyes become incensed with Solar fire as Essence pours through his body again, his rifle spinning as he tosses it into the air. His feet touch the wall as he elevates himself along it, fingers snatching the rifle in mid-wall-run and leveling another two shots at the Fire Aspect that is attacking his beloved.

ST The flaming woman virtually ignores Corve this time, now prepared for his interference. With a quick flurry of her crimson blades she shunts aside the bullets and tosses him a "Pathetic Fool" glance before turning back to Carmine
