James was a player character who came to Detroit from another city (and it was a significant city, but damned if I remember what it was). I believe the city he resided from was Chicago. At least this is where he held a business and received the Book of brail mentioned below (a replicate copy of a certain other book) and apparently written by Areson.

James acted a lot more like a Tremere than a Toreador. I do remember he said something along the lines of he produced records, but from the looks of it he spent a lot more time coveting The Book than doing anything else.

He is currently MIA.

James was found in a tomb in Ann Arbor (apparently captured by the Sabbat -- the Harbringer) by JT. James was blind in sight but not blind to the truth of (at the time) Lord Areson and his dealings with the Covenant. James did mention that the book itself mentioned a certain ancient-blood Tzimcse and talked about a way to "open a doorway." The doorway is not known where it would have led as the book and James disappeared (presumed captured by Areson) before the real truth transpired.
