Basic Lunar Perception charms

Ever-Wary Fox Technique

  Minimum Essence: 1
  Prerequisite Charms: Sense-Sharpening Change

While this charm is active the Lunars instincts are perfectly tuned, allowing him to react to danger with seeming precognition. Much like certain animals are able to react to danger before it even occurs, the Lunar is able to subconsiously note and become aware of various dangers and threats that might otherwise escape him. This charm is particularly potent against natural diasters and other such matters, the character being allowed a Perception + Survival roll with each success giving him one hour or one minute (depending on the situation in question) of advanced warning before a blizzard, thunderstorm, avalanche or flash flood. When faced with threats posed by men or beasts, the Lunar is only warned one turn in advance per success. Particularly freak occurances, or should the character fail the roll in question, only give the Lunar a split seconds advance notice. Only on a botch does the character fail to note the danger in time to react, if this charm is active. Many Lunars just commit the one mote for this charm and have done with it, though these Lunars tend to be somewhat jumpy and prone to distraction.

Other Charms

  • Observed Prey Instinct: The Lunar gains a complete understanding of how many people are watching him and from where with 3 successes, and gains almost supernatural insight into what they are doing with 5 successes. Lunars, page 175.
  • Weather-Scenting Method: The Lunar has a number of automatic successes on the Wits + Survival roll for this charm equal to his Essence rating. The Lunar may not have a disparity of successes assigned to Area or Duration of more than 2 successes (i.e., 4 to area, 2 to duration is fine -- 1 to area and 5 to duration is not). This charm has a Prerequisite of Sense-Sharpening Change. Lunars, page 175

The Wyld-sensing Charms have been moved to The Wyld, while Heightened (Sense) Technique and its various branches have been moved to Sight, Hearing And Touch, and Smell And Taste.
