Green Armor

Level 3 Divine Breastplate

The Green Armor was a gift to Schuyler from the Nine Oaks Lord, intended to aid the young Bronze Tiger in her quest to defeat the Father of Darkness and thus acquire vengeance for the death of most of the Oak Gods court and family (particularly his sister, the Silver Water Dancer, who was corrupted and turned on the Circle as a trap by the Father). Johann Illhousen was also given a gift, in the form of a Lifesap Spear from the Heart Tree of the Nine Oaks Lord own grove.

After the battle in Yane in which the Father of Darkness was defeated, Schuyler and Johann eventually returned to the grove of the Nine Oaks Lord, to tell him of the defeat of the Father and return the God the treasures he had lent them. Though he took the Lifesap Spear, he asked Schuyler to keep the Green Armor he had given her, as a gift.

Other Powers of the Green Armor

  • Wood Walk: The Green Armor is composed of fine green leaves, pulsing with life, with lines of brown and deeper green. It bears some strong resembalance to a particularly green Buff Jacket, worn over a leafy facsimile of a breastplate. Within the woodlands, however, the Armor gains a few small abilities.
    • Wood Meld: While wearing the Green Armor, add +4 to Stealth rolls while in a forest or glade, overgrown grassland/savannah, or garden. In order to qualify, fairly lush vegetation must be fairly omnipresent.
    • Forests' Friend: While wearing the Green Armor, lower the difficulty of all Athletics rolls by 1 when in the Forest, provided the aid and assistance of trees and vegetation could be helpful for the stunt in question.
    • Forest of the Mind: You can spend 5 motes and 1 willpower to gain the effects of Wood Meld and Forests' Friend even when you are not in a Forest, provided you are in a natural enviroment of some type (the ocean, a desert, etc.) This power has a duration of one scene, and specifically overcomes the restrictions of the other powers.
  • Natural Armor: The Green Armor requires no maintnence. It heals itself of any damage it might recieve in combat, and is fully repaired every morning. If the Armor is ever seriously injured to the point of destruction, the attuned owner can spend 1 willpower and the armor will be rendered whole again in three days.
