< Nightcap | Tokens N Trifles | Bent Li Boys Ceberus >
This blanket was gained for what was likely a soul-rending cost at the nameless Goblin Market. When the user tucks a person under the blanket, that person's fate is stolen for one day. The user then may wear that person's identity for all to see, gaining access to all of their social merits by wearing the blanket as a mantle. The poor person who is left fateless must wander without any identity to anyone... except themselves and the blanket user. But, should the victim die fateless, their fate is never to return, permanently in the blanket forevermore.
This appears to normally appear as a pure white afghan blanket.
Mien: The blanket gains a single colored fiber through it's pattern, which depends on the fate absorbed. Now though, it has one crimson fiber permanently, for Victor Capote is dead, leaving his fate to be devoured by the blanket.
Drawback: When the blanket is used to fool (actively) 10 times the user's Wyrd + 1 or more in willpower sum of the viewers, it creates a scar on the soul of the world. For those who know how to seek it out, it may be found in the world's dreaming and also there is a window to this scene in the dreams of anyone who would remember it. In this scene, the world remembers what the person may not.
Catch: When used in an unwise manner, the user finds their own fate falling from them like hair shed by a dog. In short, one complete social merit is lost and is unable to be regained. Eventually, no one will even be able to connect the person to the picture in their id or recognize them.
