    • Thorns only avoids Civil War due to the presence of Dragon-Blooded aides to the Autocrat.

    • Red Rook Company left butchered by Battle of Mishaka, with Jackal obstinately in charge.
    • Balthasar leaves his home in Varang
    • Merayen promoted, takes the task of rebuilding her shattered Unit and training Gunzosha.

    • In an unprecedented move, Merayen refuses to retire from active duty until she's finished her last task.

    • The Mask of Winters invades, and conquers, Thorns which becomes a Shadowland.

    • After her return from the border with Thorns, Merayen decides to retire to the Hundred Kingdoms.
    • A Dragon-Blooded of Gens Maheka escorts Merayen to her new resisdence; she's expected to die very soon.
    • Gilgamesh, and Family, taken captive by the Mask of Winters.

    • The Golden Warlord takes over Mar Asalon and deposes of the Blood Feather's Dynasty.
    • Anastaria masters the Celestial Circle, giving up her Homeland to do so.
    • Exaltation of Forsath, when his teacher botches a ritual to appease a Little God.
    • Forsath captured by Shakri Ma and Tattoo'd into the Silver Pact. He leaves as soon as he can.
    • Exaltation of Skyla, while helping a childhood friend escape Slavery.
    • Skyla and Janna live among the Hill Folk; Skyla commits many heroic deeds and masters her magics.

    • Exaltation of Gilgamesh after his escape from Thorns.
    • Gilgamesh flees toward Nexus, but is trailed by the Deathknight Faltering Promises of Life.
    • Ghavin Bael takes effective command of the Guild Directorate in Nexus.
    • The Guild in Disarray.
    • Exaltation of Karianna after fleeing Nexus.
    • Karianna spends some time with Tazzi Many-Shapes, is tattoo'd, and then goes her own way.
    • The Guild, at least in the East controlled by Gavin Bael, recovers.
    • Exaltation of Balthasar while running the Grayfalls Blockade.
    • Exaltation of Seraph while fighting a Lover; she keeps her Exaltation secret from the Quiet One.
    • First appearance of Varuna, according to Alamatheia. Balthasar outsmarts a Wyld Hunt.
    • Refugees of Thorns meet in Nexus.
    • Exaltation of Jackal, as he rescues a Child from the Underworld during Calibration.

    • Anastaria forced from Amanton by the Wyld Hunt, whom she decimates in the process.
    • Seraph reveals her Exaltation to the Quiet One, who takes her memories and imprisons her while he thinks.
    • The Golden Warlord takes three more towns.
    • Skyla, Balthasar, and Jackal depart up the Maruto to search for the Wood Dragon's Claw.
    • Seraph escapes from Great Forks; Misati is "born".
    • Merayen and Shan of the Blade meet, battle. Later, when they meet again, she fights beside and later joins the Circle.
    • Misati finds her way to the Sarine Valley, with no memory of her previous life.

    • The Circle returns to Nulam; it fights the Bright River Gang, meets Bright Mane for the first time, and allies with Madaan.
    • The Golden Warlord conquers Godden, and massacres the entire population of Knapp's Ford.
    • Talespeaker tells Misati of the Quiet One, and her own origin. Merayen meets Gharavan, and Ghalos Linnai.
    • The Circle heads toward a meeting with a Lunar Elder, but runs afoul of Sabbadhine the Harvester.
    • Khalas'tha Awakens; Menedraile rescued, joins Circle. Varuna disappears.
    • Mnemon claims the Scarlet Throne; Houses Ragara and Sesus contest the claim. The Deliberative is divided.
