Contracts Elements (Dust) (page 138).
  • Cloak of the Elements (•) Timothy "protects" himself from dust by burning up any that come in contact with him, creating a glowing nimbus. His coat has a pocket filled with sawdust in case he needs it.
    • Cost: 2 glamour; Action: Instant
    • Dice Pool: None
    • Catch: The changeling bears some symbolic representation of the element in question, such as a souvenir T-shirt depicting a mountain for earth or a small mirror for glass.

  • Armor of the Elements’ Fury (••) This contract causes his skin to glow white hot and everything caught in the halo around him smokes and blackens as it is converted into dust and sparks. The nimbus surrounding him intensifies becoming so brilliant his features cannot be easily made out, seeming to be a creature of light fringed in bright green.
    • Cost: 2 glamour; Action: Instant
    • Dice Pool: Dexterity + Wyrd (6 dice)
    • Catch: The changeling touches the element when he invokes the clause. For ubiquitous elements such as air, the element must be fairly vigorous, that is, a strong breeze or the wind from a large fan.

  • Control Elements (•••) Can control an amount of dust that is within Willpower x2 (8 yards) of him. The dust moves at Speed 20 and cannot be used to do damage but can blind, choke, etc.

    • Catch: The area is completely dominated by the element — air on top of a narrow bridge, water on a lake or ocean, fire in the middle of a forest fire, electricity at a substation or generator and so on.

    • Catch: The changeling is calling the element solely to awe and impress viewers, perhaps as part of a performance.

  • Cupid’s Eye (•) Timmy can know what anyone's desires are with a little touch of fae magic.

    • Catch: The character has kissed the subject within the past 24 hours, or the subject’s object of desire is the character.

Contracts of Mirror (page 129).
  • Riddle-Kith (•) It allows a changeling to seem as if she hails from some kith or seeming other than her own, giving them the features of a different mein but not affecting the Mask or choose his new features.
    • Cost: 1 glamour; Action: Instant
    • Dice Pool: Manipulation + Wyrd (4 dice)
    • Catch: The changeling must have dined with a member of the selected kith within the past week.

Contracts of Communion (Sound) (Sound is essentially identical to Air but with different thematics)
  • Sense Element (•) Provides the ability to sense the precise location and form of any sound within Wyrd x 10 yards.

    • Catch: The changeling sits and meditates for at least 10 minutes and makes a successful meditation roll.

    • Catch: The character makes a minor offering to the element. In addition to the effort involved, such efforts also take at least a few minutes of time.

Contracts of Verdant Spring
  • Font of Inspiration (•) Timmy can use this clause on himself or others, granting them insight into their creative endevours. On an exceptional success, that bonus adds to all social challenges against members of the Spring Court over the next week.
    • Cost: 1 glamour; Action: Instant
    • Dice Pool: Wits + Empathy + Mantle (Spring) (11 dice) - subject’s Resolve (if opposed)
    • Catch: The changeling invests his own (literal) blood, sweat, or tears into the creation of the project or its plans.

Pledges

The Motley Pledge

"I, (name here), do hereby vow to open my heart and my dreaming mind to the other members of my Motley, (names of motley members here). We will stand together through the good times and the bad, sharing all, closer than blood for the next year and a day. So long as I hold true, the blessings of the Motley are mine to share in and I shall grow rich & fat, with the skill to prosper in the world we've been absent from so long. If I should betray this most sacred of bonds, however, wealth shall drip from my fingers like water and the world of man turn against me. So I, (name here), do pledge."

Repeated in turn by all members of Motley, upon joining.

 Boons: Adroitness (+1,all), Blessing (medial; +2,all), Fast & Easy (+2,all)
 Sanction: Poisoning of Boon (-3, both the blessing and adroitness boons)

Pledge Notes
  • The Adroitness boon gives members of the Motley +1 to Politics rolls.
  • The Medial Blessing gives members of the Motley two dots of Resources, either right-out or adding to their own merit value.
  • The Fast & Easy boons allows everyone to join each others Dreams without access to the hedge and with no more difficulty than entering their own dreams.

The Engagement Oath

"Take this rose as a symbol of my love; in return, I ask for the Pledge of your hand in marriage before a year and a day has passed. Until that day comes I will protect you and should I fail in that promise let my heart's blood lie on its thorns by the day's end. Then know that you are free of your obligation to marry me, and do with your life as you will.
On the power of this Pledge you open the gates of your Dreams and I tear the Mask from your eyes; I grant you the gift of True Sight, the wisdom to keep yourself safe. For myself, I take the blessing of empathy to understand your heart and all others, that I might keep you happy, and further, I command the Wyrd to smooth over those details that might stand in the way of our new life together.
But you must keep these things secret from all but your family - The identity of changelings, the courts, and the fae magics and freeholds that protect them. If this pledge should be broken let our works be lessened; should our hearts falter in their purpose, let us be keenly reminded of what we have chosen to give up. May whatever God there be have mercy on our souls.
If you will join me in this Pledge take the rose and let your blood join with mine, so that from this day forward there can never again be any doubt as to whom I love, and who owns my heart."

Pledge Notes
  • The flower will only go dead if Timmy breaks his side of the oath. If it does so, all the color will drain from the rose, turning it white, and the vase will be full of his blood. Otherwise, the rose will stay alive a year and a day.
  • Timmy did not fully define the Sanction should Kandi break her oath; if she does he must pronounce the rest of her Sanction or it will be upgraded to a Greater Curse.
  • The Pishoguge is Timmy's Growth of the Ivy clause. If broken, it will create in them the Desire for the other even if they have lost it completely, subverting other desires and, if those desires are already present, waking them up at inopportune times. It will serve to remind them of what they betrayed, however, it will not leave them happy even if they should be sated.
  • Kandi can reveal the existence of the Others and Arcadia if necessary but not who or what Changelings are, this way she can still warn someone if she sees the True Fae are after them.

Other Pledges

  • Timmy frequently grabs Endeavor Task pledges for the Spring Court, in exchange for favors. He had one such favor outstanding but now is probably deeply in debt following purchasing the old Van Buren place.
