Backgrounds
Allies ***
Ever since your "escape" from the Circle of Bones where your daughter had died, you have been staying in the care of the God Jodun - Lord of Amersia, and City-Father of its greatest and capital city. Though you entered into his lands frightened, alone and hunted...the God took you in without question and treated you kindly. Thus for a year you remained within the court of Amersia, under his protection. He tutored you in various useful skills, gave you ample opportunity to practice and master the powers of your Exaltation, and allowed you to use those powers on his behalf on several occasions. Though you now depart to seek out your larger destiny, and to spare your friend the danger that your company brings with it, you know that Jodun will always remain among your keenest allies and friends.

Contacts **
The court of Amersia is an important one in the Hundred Kingdoms, as it serves as one of the few safe and stable kindgoms along a profitable trade route. Thus over the course of a year, you were exposed to many powerful and interesting people. These include such notables as Ianna, a roving priestess of the Thousand Rivers Court with whom you enjoyed a brief friendship and a number of debates about matters of faith and the afterlife, and Mhuto, a potent Ghost-Blooded Necromancer in the employ of the Guild and with some regular contact with the Dead.

Cult *
Though it was not precisely your intentions, and a fact that Jodun definately did not approve of, you have small but devoted priesthood that worships you as a Goddess who stands between the Living and the Dead, a Messenger to the Underworld, and a patron to Tortured Mothers. A few shrines exist in Amersia itself, the countryside, and within the Circle of Bones itself. Most leave offerings to you, and to "the Martyr Ashmere". You have maybe half a dozen priests, and a decent handful of worshippers, and though you find this somewhat inconvenient at times you feel a certain duty to look over them and a responcibility for them.

Manse ***
Several months after you first arrived in Amersia, you felt a strange draw to an ancient and nigh-abandoned building in the middle of the city. A solid ediface of white stone, once beautiful but now ground down by time until it was only large, looming and old -- most puzzling the rather large building had no seeming door. It caused quite a stir when you placed hand to rock-face, spoke ancient words of power, and opened the "door" that lay hidden within the stone. The Manse within, a minor but potent site which had belonged to your previous incarnation, remained your home within Amersia from that day forth.

The Earth-aspected hearthstone forms deep within the Manse, in the claw of a Dragon Statue. A perfect "diamond teardrop", this stones exact powers are still unknown to you but you appreciate its gift of essence.

Resources **
Though you came to Amersia penniless and with little more than the clothes upon your back, in your time there you were presented with gifts grand enough and earned coin sufficient enough to make you richer than you ever could have imagined previously. Despite this, the money seems worth little enough to you, without the family that could have benefited from it. This lack of interest is likely the reason you did not end up even more wealthy than you did.
