Dragon-Blooded Dodge

Thematics: Dodge is the inability of Fire to remain still for long. It flickers often, jumps from place to place, and spreads here and there to avoid being putting out. Only by overwhelmingly it entirely, or starving it, can fire be brought under control. Ooo, yes, Dodge is Fire's inability to be controlled.

Threshold Warding Stance

Cost: 1m; Mins: Dodge 1, Essence 1; Type: Reflexive (Step 5)
  Keywords: Combo-OK, Channel, Root
  Duration: Instant
  Prerequisite Charms: None

Fire doesn't need to move to avoid danger; it flickers and shifts as necessary. A Dragon-Blooded with this charm mimics this, and with the use of this Charm, ignores all environmental penalties to the use of his Dodge DV. This explicitly allows the Dragon-Blooded to Dodge in locations where that defense would otherwise be an invalid action such as on a tree limb or while up to his knees in quicksand.

Channel (Cost: 2m): While this channel is maintained, the Dragon-Blooded so expertly weaves between attacks that she subtracts one from the DV penalties imposed on her by Onslaught Penalties and Coordinated Attacks. She also reduces her Armor's Mobility Penalty by two, to a minimum of -0.

Hopping Firecracker Evasion

Cost: 2m; Mins: Dodge 1, Essence 2; Type: Reflexive (Step 5)
  Keywords: Combo-OK, Counterattack
  Duration: Instant
  Prerequisite Charms: Threshold Warding Stance

The Dragon-Blooded are as quick and evasive as a firecracker. Whenever the character successfully evades an attack through his Dodge DV, he may reflexively spend 2m to activate this charm and let his dodge carry him away from his attacker. This is treated as a instant reflexive Dash at Step 9 of Combat Resolution, except that it lowers the DV penalty by 1 (to -1 DV) and benefits from any ongoing charms or channels that might enhance the Terrestrial's Dash. This charm may only be activated as part of a dodge, and thus may not be used if the Dragon-Blood relies on his Parry DV. Similarly, the Dodge in question must be successful, though a second purchase at Essence 4 removes this restriction.

Virtuous Negation Defense

Cost: 3m; Mins: Dodge 2, Essence 2; Type: Reflexive (Step 2)
  Keywords: Combo-OK, Draconic(Wood)
  Duration: Instant
  Prerequisite Charms: Threshold Warding Stance

The Dragon-Blooded leaps to the aid of an ally, who must be within a number of yards equal to (the character's Dexterity), interposing herself between hard ward and an attacker. This functions similarly to a Dodge-based Defend Other action, allowing the Dragon-Blooded to apply his Dodge DV against a single attack or flurry action directed at her ward. When applying the character's Dodge DV in Step 5 of combat resolution, halve the value (rounding down) before applying it to the attackers successes. If this reduced DV is sufficient to fully dodge an attack, both the character and her ward have evaded all harm. If an attacker gets more successes on an attack than the character's original Dodge DV, he may choose to either hit the Dragon-Blooded or to apply his remaining successes to the ward's Defense Value. In any other circumstance, the Dragon-Blooded takes the hit. If used against a flurry, the Dragon-Blooded applies any Onslaught Penalty to his Dodge DV prior to halving it at Step 5. The ward only takes Onslaught Penalties from attacks that are actually applied against his Defense Values. This charm has no effect against undodgeable attacks, which ignore the Exalt's DV entirely.
