Dragon-Blooded Athletics

Thematics: Before the Elemental Dragon of Fire joined his elder brother in sleep, he was the most active and dynamic of the Dragons, even compared to his younger brother Sextes Jylis the Elemental Dragon of Wood. Fire is never content to stay in one place for very long; it is endlessly mobile, drifting on the wind and traveling wherever it's whims take it. The children of Hesiesh are the same - few obstacles can keep them from getting where they desire to be.

Bellows-Pumping Stride

Cost: 3m; Mins: Athletics 1, Essence 1; Type: Reflexive
  Keywords: Combo-OK, Channel, Obvious, Root
  Duration: One scene
  Prerequisite Charms: None

While it can seem deceptively under control, it can be very hard to outrun the flames when they decide to come after you. While this charm is in use, the Dragon-Blooded can double his Dexterity rating before calculating his Movement rate for Move and Dash actions. However, so long as this charm is in effect, the Exalt leaves behind a trail of charred or burning footprints and may start fires if he runs through dry brush.

Channel (Cost: 4m): The Dragon-Blooded may double his Dexterity prior to applying it to his movement rate (this becomes a x3 multipier if combined with the base charm) and may add his Dexterity to his (Strength + Athletics) total to determine jumping distance. This has the same dangers as the base charm, and if both are used together the Terrestrial's footsteps are hot enough to partially melt stone and can start fires even on hardwood.

Falling Star Maneuver

Cost: 1m per 2 dice of damage; Mins: Athletics 1, Essence 2; Type: Supplemental
  Keywords: Combo-OK, (Obvious)
  Duration: Instant
  Prerequisite Charms: Bellows-Pumping Stride

A Dragon-Blooded with this charm moves with all the unpredictability and relentlessness of a flickering flame, growing bolder and more fierce as he gains a momentary advantage and uses it to land a telling blow. The Exalt may spend a number of motes equal to his Essence to enhance an attack, with each mote spent adding +2 dice to the base damage of a weapon. The enhanced attack always inflicts lethal damage. If the charm more than doubles the base damage of a weapon, or is used on any ranged or unarmed attack, the charm becomes Obvious as the Dragon-Blood's hands, feet, or weapon glow red hot and inflict horrible burns. Any arrows enhanced by this charm are consumed in the attack, hit or miss. This Charm is explicitly allowed in Combos with Charms of other Abilities.
