Destiny

In addition to the methods of gaining Destiny tied to a specific Project (including, potentially, a Personal Project), characters can also earn 'Personal Destiny' which can be used to advance their character or any of the Projects in which he is involved. It can even be used to advance bland and uninteresting Projects that aren't otherwise a major focus of the game (for when your "how I gained a dot of Persona" Project just hasn't gotten much attention lately). There are two main ways to earn this Destiny-

Change

When you face a challenge so vast that you cannot stand against it, but must change your essential nature and become something different... This covers such things as the birth of a child, falling in love, becoming an Agent of the Excrucians, releasing an ancient grief, changing your loyalty to Heaven, or giving up on your humanity.

When you go through this kind of Change, you gain 10 Destiny and 0-5 MP.

Struggle

When you are presented with a difficulty that you have to deal with, a problem that you cannot ignore, then you're dealing with a struggle. This can cover all kinds of things, but the important thing is that you recognize such an issue as a struggle... tell the HG (me) about it... and spend some time testing and playing around with it in character during the game.

A struggle can net you 5, 3 or 2 destiny (depending on how and if it's resolved), and if resolved, from 0-3 MP.
