Creation's Seasons
The Realm uses a Lunar Calendar of 15 months, divided into five seasons of three months of 28 days each. The season's themselves are regulated by the Bureau of Season's in Heaven and were created in the First Age by the Solar Deliberative to allow as much possible time spent on growing as possible. With the fall of the Solar Deliberative and the corruption of the Terrestrial Bureaucracy, however, every petty deity holds the weather over the people of Creation like a poised sword.
- Ascending Air starts the year with the hurry to finish off the third and final growing season from last year.
- Resplendent Air is the beginning of Autumn, and the First ("Final") Harvest.
- Descending Air has temperatures dropping rapidly as Winter approaches!
- Ascending Water is the coldest month of the year; the North is draped in Ice, the East and West are engulfed in frost, and the South gets pleasant rains.
- Resplendent Water
- Descending Water the beginning of Spring brings rising temperatures, severe weather, and the First Growing Season.
- Ascending Earth
- Resplendent Earth
- Descending Earth is the Second ("Little") Harvest of the Year, and the Second Growing Season.
- Ascending Wood
- Resplendent Wood
- Descending Wood
- Ascending Fire is the Third ("Big") Harvest of the Year, and the Third Growing Season.
- Resplendent Fire has temperatures increasing rapidly as Summer approaches!
- Descending Fire is the Height of Summer. Farmers have to work extra hard to keep crops alive as heat bakes Creation.
After the month of Descending Fire, there's the topsy-turvy period known as Calibration, which is not a part of any season, but is a time of chaos and calamity where the worlds of the Gods and Mortals are closer than ever - to say nothing of this world and the Underworld, or the Prison of the Demons.
