Misati's Wedding Broach

Level One Artifact
Orichalcum Hearthstone Amulet

When Misati and Bright Moon secreted away to Caer Dharrow for their wedding ceremonies, Sahji had a few surprises in store for his new wife. The first was this beautiful bauble of gold, shining jewels, and a tiny amount of Orichalcum (just enough for a Hearthstone setting), and the second was assisting Rain Deathflyer in applying a similarly designed Moonsilver Tattoo to the shoulder of your beloved. Even later, when you met his various wives and children, you didn't forget the fact that you were the only of his wives who had been permitted to permanently mark him.

And, to a Lunar of this Age, whose shape is as unstable as ice and held only by the whim of such tattoos that is the biggest sign of commitment possible.

While your own broach is quite beautiful, and provides a useful setting for your Stone Of The Earthweb (after you both discovered the nature of your Hearthstone, Bright Mane teased that even your wedding gift made you a more fearsome assassin), you treasure it more for its associations than anything else. Despite that, you keep its true nature somewhat secret from the others and don't tend to wear it predominately all that often. It's tucked away, like everything else about you, often hidden some interior fold of your clothing.

In addition to providing a Hearthstone Setting, allowing you to benefit from the Bolthole's hearthstone, the broach very slightly increases the essence you are able to draw from the stone. You gain an additional mote every hour.

In addition, the broach and Bright Mane's tattoo are in perpetual harmony. You may spend 5 motes, reflexively, at any time to send a simple empathic message to your Mate and gain a rough gauge of his location and the distance between you and he. The message cannot contain any words, only a string of emotions. The sense of direction is enough to lead you in the right direction by itself, or to unerringly track him down if combined with a suitable charm.
