Setting Influences?

The Winding Path is a faction of the Silver Pact which dedicated itself to the Thousand Rivers Stream - the ever-changing tapestry of societies shaped and molded by the Lunar Exalted in general and the Silver Pact in specific. While the Pact as a whole is quite divided in terms of what types of societies are best, the Winding Path in particular champions more structured, urbanized societies of pure-blooded humans who rule themselves rather than being lorded over by God Kings. It is thus not surprising this this, the largest faction of the Silver Pact, is also the most cunning and deceptive. While they'll take direct action when necessary, the Winding Path prefers to act without being seen and get its way without seeming to get anything at all.

Elders and Notable Members

Sahji Tah; "Bright Mane"
Sahji, Tah of the Red Horde, was once one of the bloodiest mortal Warleaders in the East. He led countless men who ravaged across the East and who could ultimately only be put down with the aid of Lookshy. He razed cities, burned fields, killed thousands of women and children, hundreds of thousands of men. Though the warriors he led were, in theory, men, they were more brutal than even the Arczeckhi and just as merciless. The entire Scavenger Lands breathed a sigh of relief when, after the massacre at Three Abundances, the horde was finally splintered. Though Lookshy would have paid a Dynast's ransom for his head, the Tah himself was never found. Weeks after the final battle, when the Lunar Pack finally found him and realized who he was, they almost killed him right there.

In the 30 years since his Exaltation, "Bright Mane" (as he is now known), has done his best to forget his past. He's traveled over wide swaths of Creation, putting his strength and savagery to the service of men (and usually without acknowledgment nor thanks) rather than to their destruction. Though the Seneschals of the Sun Kings and the Warden's of Gaia both sought him out, he surprised many by ultimately tossing his lot in with the Winding Path, preferring to shore up what he had weakened and try to help peoples like those he once called kin find prosperity and peace. Not very long ago at all, he was at work on just such a task, aiding an elder Lunar trying to ween the Dobi Nomads of the South off the Guild. Then, he was called back to the East by Michaes, Sword of Luna. Reluctantly, the Winding Path's Brutal Warlord has taken on the mantle of War Leader once again.
