Timmy's Survival Strategy
There are two practical reasons why Timmy began his program to revitalize Switchtrack Alley. The first was to cement the places of his memory so that they would not deteriorate - so that if he ever went back to Arcadia, or just spent a long time in the Hedge, he could find his way home.
The second is to connect with as many people as possible, so he could not simply be removed from Boston without people noticing. There is, after all, SOME reason why the Fae use fetches... and he already has one.
Thus he reasons that the Alley is his buffer against Arcadia, anyone must attack it first to attack him where it would matter. Sure, it is a point of vulnerability, but besides Kandice, losing any of it wouldn't drive him to do something mad. He might grieve, but he'd find a way to continue on.
Timmy isn't satisfied with just being an acquaintance. He wants to be a friend, for people to know who he is, and to know who as many other people are, ideally with powerful emotions. Everyone who doesn't make the effort to be something more to him than an acquaintance, is barely even that to Timmy - a name, a face and a few good memories.

More important even, I imagine, than the motley. Maybe, originally, he just wanted to be in love, but now she is his world.
Augustina Valen **
Since the incident with David, Timmy has been there for Augustina, taking pointers from her and enjoying the constant criticism of her motley mates. Or is he learning the art of statesmanship? Naaah.
Inez **
Despite having been quite close following his bachelor party and '02's Spring Revel, they've drifted apart considerably. Inez is probably the closest Timmy has to a 'normal' friend/friend relationship in the Freehold, but they never seem to have time these days - or Timmy is just too distracted by his Family.
Fergy *
It's not like Timmy could NOT get along with Fergy. And besides, he gets in the middle of everything. But they never seemed to get each other.
Larry *
Timmy rocked out for a bit with Larry & the band. Things never got too personal, but they have fun, and get really wasted.
Gabrielle ***
Following the annihilation of her motley, Timmy stepped up as acting Clarviger. He was there to help her deal with her loss, and kick ass. They've forged a bond that time can't dilute, and he still sees her regularly as he naturally finds asses that need kicking or is first to volunteer when someone else does.
Zoe *
Eventually getting over the fear Zoe inflicted him, Timmy and her came to a understanding.. whatever that may be. Maybe he could even get her to help out in his activities... though that'd make her a damn hippy!
Anthony Redface ***
Anthony is not a hippie, but Timmy and He have worked closely together in forging the criminal element of the Alley into an effective supernatural-hunting machine... some of which know what Timmy is and operate at his direction. Anthony is Timmy's main contact with Summer, and they watch each others back.
Sky *
Much like Fergy, Sky just is too involved in the Court to not be involved with.
Mercedes ***
A spat over the presence of the Goblin Market turned into a full blown bitchtastic rivalry, with each of them trying their best to smear the other. It's worth a good laugh when they get together in private. Obviously, there are limits, but they both might forget them occasionally if there wasn't a Pledge to define the limits... and it acts as a relief on those Changelings who feel Timmy's stupidity is more dangerous for the Freehold than good for it.
