The "land beyond the river" (named for being on the other bank of the Yellow River) lightly abuts the Realm's presence (centered in Greyfalls). The Realm tends to have a stabilizing effect similar to Lookshy, but not nearly as strong as the effects of the regions overall sparse settlement, resulting in their being a number of small number of wars in the region (which mostly involve Champions). The region itself is still forested, and only sparsely settled, with numerous small villages and the occasional trade town. There are few cities; most of the major states are instead Alliances of trade-towns and the occasional small City-State. A small number of villages, such as Darrowmire, are functionally independent of larger bodies.
The Wyld Hunt maintains a small under-funded chapter near the "border" of the Hundred Kingdoms, The Office of Vigilance and the Unceasing Eye, is by far the weakest of remaining chapters of the Hunt and would likely have faded entirely if not for a bit of unexpected aid from Lookshy in its hour of need.
