A magical device you found the 'bolt hole' of your First Age incarnation, The Recorder of Everlasting Glories takes the form of a small golden amulet chased with jade, starmetal and hung with a silver/moonsilver-alloy chain. The amulet contains a small socket in the middle, similar to a Hearthstone Setting, but designed to instead contain a small flawless blood opal inlet with delicate essence circuitry. The Recorder of Everlasting Glories maintains a high-detail recording of everything that occurs within 5 yards of the character, for a total period of two days, after which it begins to overwrite older information to continue recording.
The character can replay this information via handgestures or vocalizations, showing the recording as either a life-sized illusion or a smaller image that can be projected wherever the character wishes. He may pause, fast forward or rewind the illusionary image as he wishes. In addition to its two day buffer, the character can store given still images or short scenes separately. A given blood opal can contain nearly unlimited still images or about 120 hours worth of short scenes (in addition to its buffer).
