Whenever the Solar gets more Threshold successes on a Performance roll than the Dodge MDV of anyone watching or listening to her performance, the Solar may reflexively spend 1m to cause all susceptible individuals to develop a Passion or Idol intimacy toward the Solar or some aspect of his Performance. The exact details of this effect depends heavily on the nature of the Performance action being performed and the nature of any onlookers. A random peasant boy listening to a Solar singing might fall in love with that Solar, attaining her as an Idol, while a Solar's overheard passionate comments to a Circlemate about some problem facing the Solar's domain could result in a Passion intimacy toward working against that problem. The Solar need not be aware that he is being observed, nor need he consciously make a decision to spend the Essence to invoke this effect. The Solar's Player makes this decision, however, not the Storyteller.
At Essence 5, the Solar can purchase this charm a second time to make the effect slightly contagious. Halve the Solar's Threshold successes (maximum of 5); anyone with a Dodge MDV insufficient to block a social attack with that many successes becomes "infected" upon being exposed to anyone who already has the Intimacy. When spreading the intimacy in this fashion, treat the social attack as coming from the individual spreading it for the purposes of modifiers from Appereance or the affects of other intimacies. Individuals who gain the intimacy in this fashion spread the Intimacy further just as easily as those who gained it directly from exposure to the Solar with the same pool of half the original Threshold successes on the Solar's original roll.
Commentary: This charm gives the Solar a 'vaguely out of control' power that makes him naturally acquire admirers, hangers-on, and fans. The Solar has no direct control over the effects of this charm, however, and it can probably sometimes cause problems. With the second purchase, this problem just gets worse and the Solar is more or less guaranteed to become the Second Age equivalent of a Superstar.
