Samson, a Ogre of the Stonebones Kith, grew up in Mattapan and had no real wish to leave Mattapan. The motley got started during the height of the urban decay of the 70s and was once quite resolute in and of itself. Hard people living in a hard place, relying on both their race and their shared situation to keep them united. Things have slowly been getting better, though, even if White Folk still keep out (and privately, Samson hopes they stay out) and that's somewhat shaken the core of the Motley. They're still a whole because of their leader. He's the glue that holds them together.
