< And Now We Must Fight | Ex Pulplogs | The End Is In Sight? >

Myrrh tries to find some cover admist the tree sized arrows. "You know we can still talk this over! It's been a few thousand years!"

Xar`Rex points himself at the Wood and roars, looking at his companions.

ST The Fire-aspect ignores Myrrh's words and lunges forward with her crimson-bladed swords, sweeping first across Corve's chest before turning to his over-protective girlfriend and occupying Carmine with a vicious flurry of attacks

Corve twists, his body becoming wraith-like in the process as the blade comes at him. He leans back, bending like a shadow under the sun's light.

Carmine watches the attack flick towards corve, her face set in anger. When the attacks come toward her, she acts without thinking, her blade slipping straight past the fire's, following her as she dodges, the glowing white blade trailing sunfire behind it as she tries to land a blow on the woman.

ST As Carmine and the Fire dance, the Earth Aspect drives forward towards Corve as the Night lands, preparing his attack on the Fire. The great white mass of the Terrestrial's hammer descends towards the Solar's face!

Carmine smiles as she nicks the Fire Aspect, opening up a cut on her skin with the tip of her sword as the Fire Aspect's sword slices her own skin, the blood flowing freely from the wounds ... and then hardening into a partial armour plate.

ST Though Corve was able to avoid the falling hammer of the Earth Aspected guardian and the flaming swords of the Fire, the last member of the trio doesn't seem to be bothered by their failure. He sends forth a trio of arrows to spear the Night Caste. Even as they fly the arrows have a sickly appearance and the Wood watches in anticipation

Xar`Rex charges the wood-aspect, the ground shaking as the enormous stony tyrant looses a challenging roar, with eyes of flame. Knocking her off-balance, he slashes and grabs the Dragon-child with his massive metallic claws, then his maw opens and descends, nightmarelike, on his face.

ST Arrows flick out to strike the Dragon-King in his wide-open maw as the lizard approaches within face-chewing distance. But Xar finds himself blocked as the flower-haired man outlines an arc on the floor with the toe of a boot and summons a wall of ice between himself and the lizard.

Xar`Rex bats the arrows away without thinking, and continues his attack!

ST Xar runs headlong into the ice-wall and has some rather difficult times trying to get through. Though he does batter his way past the Wood's summoned defense, he only manages to scratch the man as the archer has withdrawn in the time the ice bought him.

Myrrh pops out from behind the trees and fires at the wood, not exactly trying to hurt him but trying to keep him moving so he doesn't pin anyone down! "God it's going to take forever to get this sap out..." KABLAM!

Corve , having successfully avoided the slice from the Fire aspect, the terrible swing from the Earth aspect, and two of the three arrows from the Wood aspect with his charm-infused agility, now turns his sights on what needs to be done. He lands on his feet, ignoring the pain from the arrow that struck him and lifting his rifle to put it against his shoulder, head turned the other way. His peripheral vision is more

Corve * than enough. Stoically still, the gunsman allows Essence to pour from his body in an exorbitant amount, his anima exploding over the room, the ravaging black wolf howling as it shoots out with the single bullet that seems to manifest in gold and silver from the tip of Judging Thunder. Back to his target, Corve unleashes a vicious attack on the Fire-Aspect. "This dance has lasted long enough," he says with austere finality.

ST The red-robed woman has a moment to give Corve a look of astonished horror as the bullet strikes her. There is a brilliant, blinding flash as golden sunlight and crimson flames rage around the Fire-Aspect as her defenses fail and the sunlight overtakes her. When the light clears the red woman is gone and Carmine is facing a scorch mark on the grey stone floor.

ST The only sign of the Fire Aspect is that one of the formerly disappeared stone pods has now reappeared, a black ovoid set into the wall.

Carmine whirls to slice at the fire aspect, to find her ... not there. She positively /snarls in rage and turns on the Wood Aspect who had tried to infect corve with something/, leaving mixed trails of black and gold hanging in the air.

Myrrh "Facinating! Er...will you give up now?"

ST Carmine's attacks, their magic blunted by the Wood's defenses and their physical force absorbed in shattering another wall of ice summoned to his defense, are wasted against the flower-haired man. Even standing unscathed before Carmine's rage, the man looks weary and defeated. Like the Fire moments ago, the Wood vanishes in a burst of green light and leaves behind the smell of poppies.

ST Only the Earth-Aspected Terrestrial remains, glaring at the three Solars and their reptilian companion.

Myrrh glances at the earth aspect. "Uh...truce?"

Corve looks at the Earth aspect and raises a brow. "... run or stay. But if you fight, you're going to die." His tone is no-nonsense.

ST Without another word the burly man sinks into the stone floor, vanishing from sight. After several minutes, he still has not re-appeared or made any threatening things happen, but he hasn't re-appeared as a wall-pod like the other two either.

ST Myrrh and Xar at least are sure he remains in the general area, watching them through the stone of the chamber.

Myrrh "Hm...well if he wants to hide let him. We have a nation to save after all!"

Corve tries to remain standing, but finally collapses, knees hitting the ground as he groans. "Ow." He reaches for the arrow in his shoulder, ripping it out with a hiss and few vitriolic words in Cloudtongue.

Carmine takes the time to look down at her body, at the way the blood has sculpted itself into plates "...Corve? Corve!" she runs over to him, pressing her hands to his shoulder as it starts to bleed, pushing her essence into the wound.

Myrrh limps over to Corve, covered in slowly healing arrow wounds. "Corve! Do you need a bug? Did he poison you?"

Corve "I'm fine. I'm fine!" He's fine. He's just a little banged up, is all. He grins at Carmine. "Sorry about that before... I was getting bored."

Carmine looks at him blankly, frowning down at his shoulder.

Myrrh "Well! Good job everyone! I'd say we're probably the first people past here in ages!" Curiosity getting the better of him he heads for the door.

Myrrh "I wonder what it must be like to live in a sphere for thousands of years...only appearing just to fight.

Xar`Rex just watches, warily, in case the earth returns

Myrrh tries opening the door, they had already defeated the many guardians after all! And there HAD to be something interesting behind the door...
