The inner strength of the Lawgivers burns like the sun. This Charm allows the Solar to substitute any of his Virtues or his Essence rating for his Appearance rating for the rest of the scene. While under the effects of this charm, anyone who the Solar interacts with is assured of the character's Great Virtue (or Terrible Power), and must spend 2 Willpower to ignore or deny this revelation. This charm also gives the Solar one bonus success on any Presence-based Social action that is compatible with the substituted trait.

The Solar's every word is a terrible truth, and turning from his light a feat that challenges the will. Whenever anyone spends any amount of willpower to resist an unnatural influence caused by one of the Solar's Social charms, he lowers Permanent Willpower by an equal amount. This reduction remains until that person next gains a Conviction roll to regain Willpower, at which point he regains one (1) point of Permanent Willpower for every success on the roll. Extra successes, beyond those needed to reach his normal Permanent Willpower, can be used to regain points of Temporary Willpower as normal. The reduction also disappears, in total, at the end of a story.
At Essence 7, these lost points of Permanent Willpower are only regained at the end of a story.
