As Far As You Know

Jenny Speaks:

Tom is lead away, to what fate I can not guess. Speaking of Fate, I approach Allisha, and she agrees to speak with me in private. We step outside, and I "show" her what happened to Star. I also get some images, memories perhaps of her and Star? They seem really...

She bitch slaps me across the parking lot. I get up and scream HIS name. JT steps between us, we both cool down, and she goes inside. The 800lb gorrila asks me what happened, and gets angry with me when I tell him. I go back in after a few moments.

I speak with Mai. Face it, I'm still pissy, and I crap all over her, telling her that either her Primogen gets back under control, or she starts playing MY game. Mai leaves in disgust, and I head toward Calisto.

Turns out, I have a nice voice. Whoops! Now, they can not do anything to me about this, can they? Fuck, probably. Calisto must REALLY be thinking over accepting me now. Time to get some stuff done, and get out of here.

I amble over to the 800lb JT, and ask to see Tom. JT takes me to him. Tom, it seems, is now some kind of religiouse leader, which is why Mendleson is framing him for the book. Tom wants to die for his cause, it seems, so I decide to try and help him, as best I can, behind the scenes.

(Long period of Stasis)

I approach Aidin. Why, I can no longer remember. Oh, Justice is with Tom! Thats why. Aiden seems a bit "weirded" about my sudden preoccupation about her and Justice, and demands to know what I really want. So, I tell her I hope Tom talks to her, but at least she can enjoy more time with Justice. She also tells me that Randolph is sitting across the street, outside, and that he had stolen her car...

(?)

I approach Mai. She is a bit frosty with me. I appologize about my earlier treatment of her, and ask her to go out side and visit Randolph. Maybe she can get thru to him, where the rest of us have failed.

As Mai leaves, Manfred comes back from Bell Island, (when did he leave?), Aiden comes over and tells him the prisoners have been found, (what?), and that Mendelson, (when did HE get here?), has them, Irving,(?), and some other elder, (Prince of Chicago? Last I heard, he was a fucking ghost!!!) down a hall. And, that she passed a Nosferatu Duke headed that way.

Being now totally clueless as to just what is going on, I follow them.

Well, I see Tom, with above said group... (Why are the Duke and Irving being restrained? Just what was being said as we arrived?) I ask Tom, mentally, just what the fuck was going on?

So, Tom tells us. He SPEAKS! OUT LOUD!!!!

(Some people have ghoul problems. Mine are all kindred. Mental note to self: Never sire a child, or create a ghoul. Far to many problems!)

He gibbers something about digging up a dragon, which makes Manfred turn more pale than normal. Whoops! Guess the fan is now so covered in shit, it can barely turn...

Mai Writes:

By this time in the ball, Mai is all socialled out, and retires to a corner to watch the proceedings. She watches the first prisoner, Tom, be taken downstairs by the deputies. Manfred is on his way out, but approaches Mai to remind her that she could intervene, as if she didn't know how to. Mai reminds him that perhaps she does not care to right now, and he laughs, agrees, and leaves. What a bunch of heartless bastards we can be.

The prince is by now very much shaken, and Mai sees Jen approaching Alicia, which means the same will go for her in a few moments. They go outside of Elysium and Mai starts fearing for Jen's unlife, so she approaches the entryway to wait for the survivors to return.

Mai realizes Jen still lives when she hears Jen shout the forbidden name. Why? Alicia bursts back in and gives Mai that predatory smile as she brushes past. Mai attempts to show respect, but it's clear that damage has been done.

Seeing this, Mai is outraged. She stuck her own neck out the other night for Jen and the rest of them and this is how they react? Mai had it under control. Here they were at Alicia's own party not being bothered and now something Jen said must've destroyed all of what Mai worked so hard for. Just when Mai has a good rage built up, Jen enters and tells Mai that she should keep her primogen under control.

Keep her primogen under control? She had been under control until Jen stepped in! Didn't she know that? Mai reminds Jen of this in fewer words and Jen makes some allusion to having played Mai's game and now we'll play hers. Whatever. Mai says she won't be cleaning up if we are playing Jen's game, and Jen stalks off.

Mai retires back to her corner to calm down. Aiden comes over and tries to be chummy with Mai but Mai rebuffs her.

The deputies are doing something... going up and down the basement stairs. Not long ago, another prisoner was brought in and for a while there Aiden seemed really pissed. Mai surmises it must have something to do with Randolf or maybe the other Ranolf appearing, because she watches her sire strut over to Winston Mc Donald? and drag him outside. But Winston Mc Donald? reappears shortly without Randolf in tow.

JT approaches Mai and tells her he requires Winston Adonis. Mai of course puts JT in his place by telling him her sire does not answer to him, but nonetheless, goes and gets him. He is talking to a lovely girl from Chicago (bitch), and Mai doesn't feel so bad about interrupting, though she tries to appear ashamed. Winston rushes off and Mai tries to discern this girl's standing.

Jen approaches again. Mai has watched her this night, picking battles and currying favor... really trying to play the part of Lasombra, I guess. She approaches Mai and tells her in a very long winded way that Randolf is outside and that she thinks it would be best for both Randolf and Mai, and oh heck, everyone, if Mai were to go out there. Mai says some frosty words to Jen and Jen sort of apologizes for her temper previously. Mai does not apologize, but turns it down a few notches, and tells Jen that they will have to talk later, not here.

Mai goes outside and there his is just sitting one-armed on a bench across the street, facing the club. Well, had he wanted to go in, she supposes he would've. Frankly, Mai is surprised he is here at all. Yes, this is where he should be, but still... Mai decides not to ask questions and just try to be companionable, and sits down next to him.

He's bitter. He says what he can to try to anger Mai or drive her back into the club, but Mai really does not want to go back in there for a bit, and resolves to stay there. The trust somehow got broken, even though Mai didn't actually harm him in any way that she can think of... and while Randolf stares at the club seemingly unmoving, Mai tries to sort out in her head how to fix this lovely mess.

Manfred writes:

At an early point in the ball I am approached by Regent Adam of New Orleans. He asked Joseph Gable to have me take him to inspect the tapestry. I acquiesce, after a long conversation on the way about current events we arrive at the bell isle chantry. One of our ghouls shows us to the basement where I retrieve the tapestry. Hesitantly we inspect the damn thing. Adam begins to tell me what he is able to determine about it. Nothing I don't already know or could determine myself.

We put the tapestry back and debate its origans, uses and history. Adam confirms to me that even though Areson know much about the tapestry he never conved the information to any other tremer. One of the reasons he fell from favor. all in all I determine that Adam is a master of stating the obvious. We also discuss Tom and the mark on his forehead along with the closed eyelid he seems to have there aswell.

We converse more and sloooowwwwwly drive back to the ball. We are asked to locate Tom and Justice. After some looking we find him down a hall way, With the Sheriff, Irving, Justice, Duke bonhuer, and someone else. they are talking and we are told to tell the Keeper of elysium that the sheriff has everything under control. The keeper wants to know why, so we go back and as we approach it sounds like irving and bonhuer are at each other's throats, the were speaking a dialect of romanian so old manfred was having trouble understanding it. Jenny askes tome something mentally. Tom in response verbal respods they are talking about going to romania to dig up the dragon.

Manfreds heart beats once, since it can't really skip a beat.

Once there It seems we spend looking Tome
