First Strength Excellency - Overwhelming (Lunars, page 140) ^
You can use this Charm to add extra dice to any Strength-based roll or effect, regardless of the Ability in use. Every mote used to activate this Charm adds one die, up to a limit of your Strength in extra dice. This Charm can also enhance unrolled uses of the relevant Attribute, such as Feats of Strength values. Simply roll the purchased dice, with each success adding +2 to the value (for a total of +1 DV per success, for example).
Cost: 1m per die; Type: Reflexive; Duration: Instant -- Keywords: Combo-OK
Impressions of Strength (Lunars, page 144) ^
This Charm supplements an attack, allowing the Lunar to apply one of the follow edges:
Additional edges cost 2xp. At Essence 4, the character may apply two edges at once (or the same edge twice) for four motes. An Essence 5 character can spend six motes for three applications. Any use of more than two edges makes the attack flare with Essence, becoming Obvious. When used with Relentless Lunar Fury, the character adds one of these effects (her choice) to all attacks.
Cost: 2m; Type: Supplemental; Duration: Instant -- Keywords: Combo-OK, Fury-OK, Knockback
Tearing Claw Atemi (Lunars, page 145) ^
This Charm may supplement an attack or Feat of Strength that targets or uses an inanimate object. Its use doubles the raw damage of an attack, or the character's effective Strength for the feat. This applies equally to feats made to throw or break objects, even though they work on different time scales.
Cost: 3m; Type: Supplemental; Duration: Instant -- Keywords: Combo-OK
First Dexterity Excellency - Overwhelming (Lunars, page 140) ^
You can use this Charm to add extra dice to any Dexterity-based roll or effect, regardless of the Ability in use.
Golden Tiger Stance (Lunars, page 151) ^
This Charm eliminates up to (Dexterity) points of penalties that apply to the character's Dodge and Parry Defense Values. If this charm is activated along with Relentless Lunar Fury, you may ignore (Dexterity + 2) in penalties to your DV's for the duration of that charm.
Cost: 2m; Type: Reflexive; Duration: Instant -- Keywords: Combo-OK, Fury-OK
Wary Swallow Method (Lunars, page 151) ^
This charm removes the unexpected quality from a single attack, allowing the character to use her appropriate Defense Values and defensive Charms against it. Attacks that are unblockable or undodgeable remain so.
Cost: 1m; Type: Reflexive; Duration: Instant -- Keywords: Combo-OK
Relentless Lunar Fury (Lunars, page 158) ^
After activating this charm, the Lunar enters into a devastating battle fury. By itself, the benefits of this charm are modest: you receive one automatic success to all combat actions (but not DV's), ignore wound penalties, and increase the maximum benefit of your Physical Excellenties up to (Attribute + Essence). The real power of this charm, however, comes when its activated with certain charms that have the Fury-OK keyword. You can turn on up to (Essence) such charms when you activate this charm, without a combo, by adding two motes per charm to the activation cost of this charm. Each such charm gives you a special benefit, as outlined in the charm description. You must remain on the offensive for the entire duration of this charm; taking a non-offensive action requires a Willpower roll, and any non-combat action has a -2 internal penalty.
Cost: 1m, 1wp; Type: Reflexive; Duration: (Essence x 2) actions -- Keywords: None
Ox-Body Technique (Lunars, page 156) ^
You've taken this charm once, hardening your body against death. This gives you two extra Dying levels, and four extra -2 health levels.
Hide-Toughening Essence (Lunars, 160) ^
Each mote spent activating this charm purchases two points of bashing and lethal soak for the rest of the turn. A character may spend up to (Essence) motes, and this added, innate soak stacks with armor.
Cost: 1m per 2 soak; Type: Reflexive (Step 7); Duration: One scene -- Keywords: Combo-OK
Third Perception Excellency - Resurgent (Lunars, page 141) ^
A character's player may activate this Charm after making a roll based on the relevant Attribute. She then makes the roll again, using the new result if she prefers. The Lunar can use this Charm to enhance static values based on the relevant Attribute. Doing so doubles the character's attribute for one instant or task, increasing applicable Defense Values by half the relevant Attribute. This charm can never be used on a roll that involved the First or Second Excellency.
Cost: 4m; Type: Reflexive (4/6); Duration: Instant -- Keywords: Combo-OK
Eye of the Cat (Lunars, page 179) ^
The character automatically notices anything within eyeshot, earshot or scent range that is not currently a valid target for a Perception roll based on one of those senses. If it denies the Lunar's player any roll whatsoever to notice or detect something, the Lunar sees it perfectly. This includes immaterial beings, such as gods and demons. It also covers targets so perfectly invisible, scentless or silent that there is no chance for a Perception roll. If another charm contests this effect, add the Lunar's (Essence) in automatic successes to the contested roll. This charm provides no benefit against targets that the character could notice, even if the possibility of such is slight.
Cost: 6m; Type: Simple; Duration: One scene -- Keywords: Combo-OK, Fury-OK
Keen Hearing & Touch Technique (Core, page 225-6) ^
This charm gives two bonus successes on Awareness actions that use the relevant senses, and allows the character to percieve sensory impressions that are normally too faint for human senses to validly observe at all. These can include gauging the quality of fabric with a touch, hearing conversations normally through thick stone walls, or even reading by touch with a legendary success. in addition, you hear well enough to reduce the external penalty to target unseen characters to -1, and the internal penalty from blindness to -2.
Cost: 3m; Type: Reflexive; Duration: One scene -- Keywords: Combo-OK
Terrestrial Circle Sorcery (Lunar, page 190) ^
You have (only recently) passed your Terrestrial Initiation, according to the Salinan tradition. You're permanently empowered to use shape Terrestrial Circle spells, and have made your Sacrifice (see Forsath Backgrounds for more details). You recieve one free Terrestrial Circle spell, and can learn more with XP.
Second Wits Excellency - Triumphant'' (Lunars, page 140) ^
The character's player may invoke this Charm when making a roll based on the relevant Attribute. The character spends up to (Attribute) in motes, adding one success to the roll for every two motes. Each success purchased with this Charm is the equivalent of two dice purchased with the First Excellency or another dice-adding Charm. This Charm can enhance unrolled uses of the relevant Attribute. Each two motes spent increases the Attribute by two for an instant action or task, effectively giving a +1 to the Static Value (such as a DV) so derived.
Cost: 2m per success; Type: Reflexive; Duration: Instant -- Keywords: Combo-OK
Meerkat Alertness Practice (Lunars, page 193) ^
This charm supplements a Join Battle, Join War or Join Debate action by adding (Essence) successes.
Cost: 2m; Type: Supplemental; Duration: Instant -- Keywords: Combo-OK
Prey's Skin Disguise (Lunars, page 131) ^
This Knack enables the Lunar to take the form of another human; this costs a point of Willpower. Performed on a human, the Sacred Hunt requires half a day during which the Lunar studies the person's habits and nature, absorbing them just as he'll steal the person's body. This can be done covertly, or not. If one's Compassion is 3 or higher, then taking a human's Heart's Blood triggers a Compassion roll and gains the Lunar one limit per success.
Life of the Hummingbird (Lunars, page 134) ^
This Knack enables the Lunar to take on an animal's (or human's) shape without performing the sacred hunt, so long as she gets a taste of its blood. The new form does not last long. A simple taste of blood, even a minor trinkle, gives the Lunar access to the shape for the next hour. More blood, which must be drawn by the character and accompanied by some sharp pain (and one lethal health level), adds the shape for one full day. The duration begins counting down the instant the blood is spilled, not when you drink it or when you first assume the shape.
Summon Elemental (Core, page 254) ^
You can cast this spell at any time, both summoning and (hopefully) binding a Elemental to your service for either a lunar month or to a single task which cannot require more than a year and a day. After being summoned, the Sorcerer and the Elemental engage in a contest of wills. Both roll (Essence + Willpower); the Elemental is at a -1 to his pool for every additional 5 motes beyond the spell's basic cost that the sorcerer spent. The contest of wills continues until one side attains threeor more successes than the other. If the sorcerer wins, the Elemental is bound. If the elemental wins, the Sorcerer my make a (Wits + Occult) roll at difficulty 3 to banish the Elemental back to where it came. This spell usually requires ritual implements and protective sigils; lacking such, the sorcerer takes an external penalty of 1 on his first roll to bind the elemental.
Cost: 10+m; Target: Elemental
A Bear In Motion
[First Strength Excellency, First Dexterity Excellency, Golden Tiger Stance, Wary Swallow Method] (8xp)
Forsath roars, summoning his anima into existence for a moment, causing it to billow around him and guide his motions. While currently mostly defensive, Forsath intends to develop the offensive capabilities of this Combo even further.
Base Cost: 1 willpower
Optional: 1m per die to Strength-based pools and static values.
Optional: 1m per die to Dexterity-based pools and static values.
Optional: 2m to ignore up to (Dexterity) in penalties to either DV.
Optional: 1m to remove the unexpected quality from an attack.
Effect: You can spend motes to increase Strength and/or Dexterity based dice pools or static values, including DV's. In addition, you can spend motes to eliminate penalties to both Parry and Dodge DV and to remove the unexpected quality from an attack. Note, if you already have Golden Tiger Stance activated in a Relentless Lunar Fury, there's no benefit to using it separately.
