The Abyssal with this charm has a mind like a steel trap, able to recall anything she's ever heard or the smallest bits of half-heard trivia that might be relevant. With only a moment of concentration and 2 motes, the Abyssal greatly enhances her ability to encode and recall information. If she uses this charm to enhance her encoding, the Exalt greatly enhances the detail of the mental representation of his surroundings and ongoing events. The Abyssal can later benefit from a perfect and unchanging record of the current scene. If she instead enhances her recall, the Abyssal may ask the Storyteller for any fact that the character could possibly remember. The final arbiter on what the character can recall is up to the storyteller, and increases with the Abyssals Essence rating.

In time, everything dies, and even wisdom is lost. There is no greater store of knowledge than the Underworld, and an Abyssal with this charm can tap into that ambient miasma of lore. For every mote spent activating this charm, the Abyssal can gain a single Lore speciality of his choice. You cannot add more than your Intelligence rating in specialities with this charm, nor can you raise a given speciality higher than your Intelligence. Other than those restrictions these charm-based specialities stack normally with natural specialities. A character with four or dice in a specific lore speciality displays supernatural levels of knowledge related to that area of knowledge.
