Session 8
< Session7 | ArkhamByNightLogs | Session9 >
- After leaving Blackmoor's residence, Leo and Dr. Hyde decided to head for the last place they'd seen several of the creatures grouped up: the warehouse.
⚠ </br>
- Leo called his pet Detective to the scene as well, which proved useful since the warehouse was still designated an active crime scene.
⚠ </br>
- Searching the warehouse turned up very little.
⚠ </br>
- Leo, his detective, and Dr. Hyde began canvasing the Docks district.
⚠ </br>
- They came across Skids O'Toole, another vampire, draining a middle-class man to death.
⚠ </br>
- While Leo distracted the detective, Dr. Hyde questioned Skids. Skids claimed to know nothing about any creatures haunting the Docks.
⚠ </br>
- Later, when passing through the area where Skids had been feeding on their way back to the Detective's vehicle, Leo and Dr. Hyde noticed something amiss in a dumpster.
⚠ </br>
- The dumpster contained an angry raccoon, and the fresh corpse of Skids' victim.
⚠ </br>
- While Dr. Hyde examined the body, he noticed signs that it was beginning the process of reanimating as one of the creatures.
⚠ </br>
- Leo and Dr. Hyde were able to remove the body's head before it fully reanimated.
⚠ </br>
- Taking the body with them, Leo and Dr. Hyde went to gather their information.
⚠ </br>
- The Detective was dispatched to put out feelers for information on Blackmoor's missing vehicle, and Blackmoor himself.
⚠ </br>
- After examining the body for a short time, Leo and Dr. Hyde went to confront Skids about his victim's reanimation.
⚠ </br>
- At his place of "business" Skids was found to be rather hostile, but he protested innocence and ignorance of the transformation.
⚠ </br>
- When Leo began getting aggressive, Skids attacked.
⚠ </br>
- A brief battle ensued, and resulted in Skids being forced into Torpor, while Leo was badly wounded.
⚠ </br>
- Dr. Hyde and Leo searched the bakery for any sign of Skids being tied to the creatures, but found nothing.
⚠ </br>
- Skids was taken back to Dr. Hyde's laboratory for study, along with the headless body of his victim.
⚠ </br>
- Dr. Hyde assisted Leo in hunting for enough blood to restore most of his wounds.
⚠ </br>
- Leo used the more mundane documents found in the bakery to ensure that Skids' employees wouldn't cause trouble by showing up the next morning.
⚠ </br>
- Dr. Hyde began to examine Skids and the corpse, as well as going over previous findings and his other bodies.
⚠ </br>
- Leo went to the Arkham Public Library to do research on Dr. Kirk's mad poem.
⚠ </br>
- After a night of research and consideration, Dr. Hyde formed a theory that any mortal drained to death by a vampire bite would rise as one of the creatures.
⚠ </br>
- Leo was able to decode two further lines of Dr. Kirk's poem.
⚠ </br>
- With Leo still requiring a great deal of blood to regenerate, Dr. Hyde decided to test his theory.
⚠ </br>
- A mortal was located, and Leo drained most of his blood to heal. Dr. Hyde drained the remainder.
⚠ </br>
- After several hours, the corpse began to show the same signs of reanimation that Skids' victim had displayed.
⚠ </br>
- Once the theory was confirmed Dr. Hyde and Leo began discussing how to warn the rest of the city's vampires.
⚠ </br>
- The Detective called in, letting Leo know that Blackmoor's car had been found. It was abandoned in the same driveway where they did the drop-off of the first creature's body.
