Nonstandard Point Buy
It is possible to purchase abilities below 8. This gives you extra points to boost your other abilities, as described on the page below.

Other Stuff You Can Do With Your Points...
- You can spend 1 point to add an extra d4 to your characters starting gold. You cannot more than double your starting gold pool in this fashion.
- You can spend 1 point to start with a minor magical item of the Dungeon Master's choosing, such as a potion or a scroll.
- You can spend 2 points to start with 3 extra action points.
How Many Points?
- Extras: 18 points
- Low Power: 24 points
- Average: 30 points
- High Power: 36 points
- Uber: 42 points
