Lores

For catch-all Abilities like Academics and Occult, sometimes it's hard to determine what, specifically, a character might reasonably have knowledge of. Does a character with Occult 5 know anything about Gargoyles if they've never even met one in person, or been to Europe? Do they know anything about the Kuei-Jin if they've never left their home town in Kansas? Probably not. But they have Occult 5! Well, problem solved.

All characters have a number of points to spend on Lores equal to their Intelligence X (Ability). There are certain Lores associated with each catch-all Ability. Occult is the largest offender, since it covers knowledge of all supernatural phenomenon and the game is about the supernatural.

The table below lists some of the most common Lores under the four primary catch-all Abilities.
