One of the high ranking Templar in the Headquarters of the Order knows Sir William and even knows of his condition as Undead. Despite knowing of William's damnation, his long-time friend has not totally abandoned him but it has lead the Templar to consider William a tool that can be disposed of...for the Good of the Order, of course.

Some of the Templar brothers in the Holy City have been informed that William is to be trusted and given information he needs for his task is holy and approved of by the Order.

Sir William travels with letters-of-rights and introduction that give him access to various lines of credit and stored accounts. He also carries some small material resources for sell and barter. Between these sources, he can keep himself in the necessities of unlife.
Retainers 2
Sir Malcolm serves as William's faithful and loyal retainer after being forcefully Ghouled years ago. Sir William discovered the young knight was a sinner and a heretic, bringing dishonor to the name of the Templar. Instead of slaying the man William forced him into service and uses Malcolm's strength and determination to his own ends.
William has also Ghouled his favorite warhorse. It has a white Templar dress.
