A widespread organization of mortal sages who know about
the existence of the Kindred and study them like a field
of science. Their knowledge makes them a potential
danger to the Masquerade. All Kindred are advised to stay
well clear of them. In 1910, the Tremere burned down the
Arcanum's Boston chapter house, which had the undesired
effect of popularizing the Arcanum and causing their
membership to swell. The chapter house in Vienna is
tolerated because the Tremere have enthralled several
of the leading sages there, allowing them to use the
Arcanum's vast library for free, and to spread
misinformation to the rest of the organization.
