Mai says ⚠ and JT intervenes⚠ :

I always have to do everything. I see how it is.

A court, of sorts, was held at the Cathedral. Most of Detroits kindred were present. Our illustrious prince was a late arrival on purpose, of course, since it was Detroit's time to renounce him.

Mai circulated among the angry crowd, gathering pieces of conversation to get a feel for who would be up for prince this time. The Nosferatu were divided, of course, between supporting the gargoyle and having Usuri make a bid (jesus, not again). The important clans.... I mean, the Toreador, Tremere, and Ventrue were claiming to have always known that the prince was not Archimedes and wanted him executed (probably so that it could be forgotten they had the wool pulled over their eyes as well).

Mai noted Trenton was present. Strange that he was allowed to walk free so soon, but then again, Detroit makes its own prison in a way.

Randolf approached to ask how he could put forth Godkin for a bid, and Mai explained the technicalities.

It never really got that far... ⚠ The prince of Detroit finally showed and was slowly escorted by JT and Aidan to the Sheriff and Primogen council.⚠ The prince showed up and the sheriff made his argument. The prince called my coterie forward to prove that he was the rightful prince.⚠ The coterie of the face was asked to prove why Mrygatroid was indeed rightfully Prince of Detroit.⚠

I suppose rightful has different meanings to different people, but none of us could make a decent argument (at least not when faced with all the anger in the room at the liar standing before them) as to why he was. Mai asked the one question that on its own could offer proof. She asked if the prince would like Mergatroyd summoned. He did not answer. Archimedes would've said something, surely.

Before Mergatroyd could lash out, Maximo showed up. It was an odd time to do so, but he started talking about the 6 of us... something about how similar to the greek Titan who held up the world, we 6 must take their place in another place. It was all greek to me.⚠ But it was clear that Maximo knew too much all along...⚠

⚠ We form a chess-board stance with Detroit's population on one side of the board (Strauss replaces Randolf's position) and Chicago's population on the other side of the board.⚠

The duke at this point challenged our prince and it began. Fangs in each other's necks... I've never seen anything quite like it.

What happens next is a blur of panic, but to make a long story short, when our prince notices Strauss is in danger, he shows a bit much concern. Jenny decides at this point that he is Achadremenos and shouts the name which should not be said.

The cathedral begins to break and bleed. Kindred are fighting or fleeing. Achadremenos seems to show up and the cathedral is swept up in a Delirium storm.

Throughout, Mai has found her meager ability to try to keep sanity in the court defeated. She's exhausted attempts at calming presence, exhausted attempts at threatening those who were acting uncouth, and finally exhausted attempts at appearing calm herself. She ends up in the bell tower even though she did not move since the cathedral storm began.

Downstairs, Randolf's truck is in the middle of the room, having smashed through the door... on purpose.

⚠ Maximo with all his might slams his arm into the Prince and is surprised that not only does Mrygatroid's head not come off his body but that his arm is far more damaged. JT does what is best and escapes with the fallen Prince's body in a blur and finds creative ways to fit a stone gargoyle's mass into a small bronze box. A fitting retribution for his Jenny's fate...⚠

Most everyone is gone except for some of my coterie members. Aiden suggests Mai go outside to keep people out, and Mai does so. The keeper and knight of the 1st tradition have momentarily run away like ninnies, so it is left to Mai for a while.

Mira and Esmerelda are some of the first to return, followed by other primogen. Eventually Winston, and Justus return and take their places next to Mai. Surprisingly, Mai is not told to go do something menial or safe this time.

Mai learns the primogen will be meeting the next night and have called for our coterie, wanting to know why the prince called upon us. We are instructed to call them if we see any foreign kindred or Strauss, and also if we see Ebby to let them know where she is because she must die.

⚠ JT ponders the night's events and questions why Mrygatroid would (at this time) would present himself so boldly in front of the Kindred of Detroit. Mrygatroid asked for the coterie to reveal itself but for what appears to be some unknown reason. Afterall, JT saw Heath Egan just the other night so JT knows that the prison is still broken. Since Mrygatroid will likely be imprisoned or destroyed soon by 'the foreign force' coming to Detroit (and Maximo likely survived the pathetic attempts of Malkavian trickery again), JT does what he deems best and takes some vitae from Mrygatroid in order to learn his meaning of the night's events (since Mrygatroid can not speak about it, maybe this vitae will allow a different form of communication)...BUT if nothing else JT has a good cover story as to why he ran away with the Prince's body. Afterall, it is time for JT to have a new desire.⚠

There's your recap. Enjoy.
