Lashonda Tarnow
10th generation Gangrel neonate outcast
Appearance: Long curly hair puffing out from under a head
band and boots, jeans and a leather jacket worn over a
fashionable evening dress. One must look the part in all
situations, you know.

Lashonda hailed from a small town in the mountains of
North Carolina. Ever since the night when she wandered
into Charlotte and was then banished from there due to
a misunderstanding over the death of two of the Prince’s
ghouls, she has been on the move.

Lashonda has always felt uneasy deep inside cities, where
the stuffy hierarchy that presumes to govern all vampires
tends to exert the most sway. About ten years ago she fell
in with a roaming motorcycle gang called the Outlaws. They
provide her with security and sustenance as she travels from
town to town, delivering news to like-minded folk and
transporting the occasional Lick who has fallen out of favor
in one home to another before he is found by the local Prince.
Lashonda has been to many places but has never seen a city
that is more repressive to the younger vampires. Perhaps she
can make a few friends here before moving on again.

You rode into Detroit with your fellow Outlaw bikers a few
nights ago to attend a rally. While your traveling companions
are holed up at the Algiers hotel, drinking, smoking weed and
“getting friendly” with some of the local ladies of the night,
you know that you are here for a more important reason.

You belong to a large, loosely connected network of young
American kindred, who have chosen to take a stand against the
repressive system of the Camarilla that ordains all vampires are
to be ruled by the oldest among them. Detroit is widely known
for it’s repressive Prince and strict kindred laws. Through a
mutual contact, a young Nosferatu named Aburto has asked to be
given safe passage out of the city. Since you have helped other
wanted kindred escape the authorities this way, you agreed to try
to help this Aburto.

But this mission is not going to be easy. Not only is the local
Prince extremely powerful and resourceful, but there are rumors
that the Sabbat are planning to attack Detroit’s kindred soon
which could be why this Aburto wants to get out of the city.

Additionally, since your arrival there have been some disturbing
events in Detroit in the past two days regarding the mortals.
Gangs of looters are going out and breaking into stores everywhere,
and police have been patrolling the streets non-stop, arresting
anyone who looks suspicious. Your Outlaws have stayed near their
hotel for the most part, but it may be a good idea to find the
Nosferatu and start urging your Outlaws to leave Detroit.

On your first night in town, before things started getting crazy,
you and a few of your companions hit a few bars along Twelfth
Street, them getting drunk and you looking for drunk vessels.
Along the way, you spotted a group of four police exiting a pawn
shop on Clairmount Avenue, laughing as they got into their patrol
car and drove off. Immediately you suspected that one of the
police was kindred, so you made a mental note to visit the shop.
Saturday night you had a few bikers accompany you for some shopping.
The man behind the pawn shop’s counter was also kindred. Without
your companions overhearing, you quickly offered your assistance
in dealing with his police troubles and arranged to meet him alone
on Monday at one of the bars near your hotel. Maybe he can lead
you to Aburto.
