Honestly I don't recall much and I'm at work without my notes, but I recall the important things.
JT. Can't take him anywhere. Can't *not* take him anywhere. It's trouble either way. ⚠
It's kind of like rubbing your genitals through a cheese-grater.⚠
We begin the night having spoken with Strauss, having spoken with Chafe, and having seen pure evil overtake the Brooks Cadillac Hotel ballroom where supposedly a sacrifice was made of J. Starr and his group while our group was ⚠
torn into another reality of Malkavian madness and digested through the beast aka ⚠
zhooped to safety via a magical malkavian delirium storm. Yay. ⚠
The staked Strauss is magically taken from the grasp of JT...again...and is later seen feasting on other Kindred in the area⚠
We catch our bearings. Aiden pries the newly emerged Randolf off of her and Randolf pries Aiden's claws out of him. And then we ever so wisely hurry back to the room! But alas, the room bears no trace of J Starr's group and is magically exhausted. I'm sure Manfred has more to say about that.
So we discuss the possibility of speaking to Alicia and Mai tries to explain to her group how their current tactics with elders will be embarrassing if used on her clan primogen, especially with herself present. And since you can't teach an old dog new tricks, Mai tries to bow out of the discussion that is to happen with Alicia. But Mai's coterie does require her help in finding Alicia, so Mai calls Alicia and gets volunteered for the prom committee.
Now Mai has no choice but to show up, so she tells her group that they may follow her if they wish but they are not to go in until Mai has left and they are not to seem associated with Mai whatsoever.
So Mai hangs streamers and whatnot for a goodly amount of time and then excuses herself politely. As she leaves, she catches Manfred's eye as he waits in the car with her coterie to enter. She speaks to his mind reminding him once again that there is a swarm of Toreadors in there and that they had better not embarass Alicia.
Mai goes home, feeds, sleeps, showers... it's all good.
⚠
Meanwhile, Aiden and Jenny were given explicit directions to get Alicia out of the area of the other Toreador so that questioning could begin with the inclusion of JT and Manfred in their presence. JT writes a "help me" note in case they get lost in their convincing of Alicia. Apparently, after giving the note, Aiden left and let Jenny speak to Alicia directly (who promises her to know her true upbringing).
Apparently while also speaking to Alicia, Jenny spilled the beans that a very powerful Sabbat leader was in the city of Detroit last night and Alicia said she would deal with it. Outside, Manfred and JT throw their hands in the air and realize that they shouldn't of let the two non-Camirilla ones try to convince an Elder what to do. Lesson learned...see following night⚠
That is until Winston calls and tells Mai that the prince has issued an edict. That an old sabbat has been seen within the city and the primogen are meeting fortwith to discuss what to do. War!⚠
or a cry for help to the archons⚠
As this is obviously her coterie's doing, Mai calls Manfred to discern what exactly happened with Alicia. Manfred then tells Mai that he wasn't actually in the room. That they sent Aiden and Jenny in and then Aiden *left*. Mai inwardly screams.
Mai and Manfred ride together to the meeting but the coterie calls and they apparently want to take a field trip to Windsor. Mai suggests Manfred accompany them since he is a good babysitter and he may see something of interest if they go where she thinks they are going. She drops Manfred off and proceeds to the primogen meeting.
The harpies sit in the bar area waiting for news from Melissa. Melissa finally comes along and says the justicars and archons are coming to investigate. Lovely.
⚠
Randolph of all the lost souls in Detroit decides of all things that JT is now his best friend and needs his help. He meets up with JT demanding in a very Ventrue manner that he be taken over to J. Starr's hideout and that JT agrees but asks for a plan of action once they get there. Randolf clearly doesn't have a plan as he wows in amazement at the real discovery after JT shows Randolf the vial of vitae he has already acquired and explains its relationship to the Old Malkav. Then Manfred calls and mentions that he'll be taking others over to Windsor as well. And at this point, JT learns of the edict that the Prince has issued. JT then proceeds to the Prince and Primogen meeting...one purpose in mind...to expose the city's greatest threat...⚠
Then JT's stench alerts Mai to an uninvited visitor. Winston tries valiantly (sort of) to thwart JT but it doesn't really. Nothing ever really does. JT proceeds to the prince and asks permission go into Windsor with the "group he normally uses to go to Windsor" or whatever ⚠
see note above about city's greatest threat⚠
. The prince demands the names of these people.
Mai listens in horror, surrounded by her fellow harpies, as JT names the entire coterie and herself ⚠
apparently Mai didn't realize she was part of the coterie⚠
.
Mai excuses herself from the viper pit as calmly as possible and approaches Jt where they wait as the rest of their coterie assembles before the prince. Obviously someone has decided to play their hand with as much an audience as possible.⚠
The Prince reminds the group that the Traditions must still be followed in this other area and that he holds no direct control over this domain. JT accepts the agreement for permission of free travel and learns that the Scourge is not available anymore.⚠
Manfred:
Mai's recap was pretty good. The only thing I would add is Jenny reluctance to go along with JT's plan to gain permision to investigate windsor. Manfred and jt spent alot of effort to convice Jenny to acquiesce to gaining Godkin's permision.
Jenny:
Just when you think you know, you realize you may not.
The Old Malk came out of his prison, to accept the Arch-Bishops "offering", and all hell broke loose. I tried to stay close to the Sabbot leader, but failed, as he and the Old Malk became engaged in their own struggle.
Our group ends up atop a building. Randolph flees from us, as we head back to the portal. Nothing there, no suprise. We then convince Mai that we need to meet with her Primogen, which she eventually agrees to, as long as she is not there.
When the time comes, me and Aiden are "volunteered" to be the speakers, and some flimsy idea of a plan is proposed. Neither me or Aiden agree to it, but we move ahead at the appointed time, hoping we can wing it.
Alisha meets us inside, and all to soon, Aiden leaves me alone with her! We talk briefly, she tells me she will arange a meeting for me during the coming Haloween Ball, (guess that means I'll get an invitation?), and I end our conversation by telling her who I had seen tonight. We then head our seperate ways for the day.
The next evening, after I had a chance to freshen up and consider our options, I asked Aiden if she was willing to go to Winsor.
In my eyes, J Star and company has to be found and dealt with, else they become a thorn in our "masters" side.
A few hours are spent with the others argueing this option. I want to leave right now, but the others convince me that waiting for official permission would be the best route. I also learn that JT and Mai had ALREADY been and Winsor, and found J Stars hideout, along with some other interesting stuff. We are then summoned before the cities Elders, and I am told to stay quiet...
Randoph:
Another day in the lovely world of sand. I attekpt to provoke the old malk into conversation, and try to find and eat strauss again, but both attempts fail. A storm arrises centered around where the Books building drop point is, so I go there. A whirl wind (arch-bishop) rolls up and then the hand comes and joins. I stab it alot, again to no useful end.
A bunch of malk bullshit happens, I get sucked out of my new home and stuck back in the realm of Detroit. The fist thing I encounter is some bestial bitch of a Kindred tearing me apart with claws, Welcome Home! I do my best to frenzy and fight back, but the Koala Bear doesn't seem to be enough to top this kindred so I give up. After regaining my cool I learn that it was Aiden. So my first impression was corrrect.
Some more Malk bullshit leaves us on a building a few blocks away. Hungry still being the only controlling factor of me, I head off to get some juice. I gorge! Alot! and Messily!
I know that I can not stay among the mortals, I am lossing control on a regular basis. I find no satisfaction in feeding from them, yet I must. I must find Strauss, he will be able to tell me how to get back into the "prison". The only sancuary where I can learn to control my beast, learn to fight the cravings, learn to live without the only taste I desire.
I find Winston, he is useless as always. So I go to the Fort to see if I can make contact there. It seems somewhat succesful as I play chess with strauss or the hand, not sure which. But the final message left for me is that I can replace the weaker servant. Given my qualifications and personal dementia, I figure that must be Marc. So I recruit J.T. to take me over there so I can end Marc's waste of time science experiments, and in general end some of the blood corruption. Turns out it's war time again, and we are all going over to kick some ass. Yay!
