The Traditions
All Kindred residing in a Domain ruled by a lawful Prince have to accept some part of the responsibilities to ensure safety and security. This stability can be guaranteed only if the Kindred of the Domain act in accordance with this set of ancient laws. Although some criminal or naive Kindred claim that these rules were just meant as guidelines, it is all Kindreds' duty to enforce them with strict devotion. To be Presented in Archimedes's Domain, all Kindred must take an oath that they will uphold these important rules, which have been passed down to us by Caine himself. To disobey The Traditions is an affront to your fellow Kindred of the Domain, the Camarilla, your clan and to Caine himself.
The First Tradition: The Masquerade
Thou shall not reveal thy true nature to those not of the Blood. Doing such shall renounce thy claims of Blood.
The Second Tradition: The Domain
Thy domain is thy own concern. All others owe thee respect while in it. None may challenge thy word while in thy domain.
The Third Tradition: The Progeny
Thou shall only sire another with the permission of thine elder. If you createst another without thine elder's leave, both thou and thy Progeny shall be slain.
The Fourth Tradition: The According
Those thou create are thine own children. Until thy progeny shall be released, thou shall command them in all things. Their sins are thine to endure.
The Fifth Tradition: Hospitality
Honor one another's domain. When thou comest to a foreign city, thou shall present thyself to the one who ruleth there. Without the word of acceptance, thou art nothing.
The Sixth Tradition: Destruction
Thou art forbidden to destroy another of thy kind. The right of destruction belongeth only to thine elder. Only the eldest among thee shall call the blood hunt.
The Edicts
In addition to The Traditions, Prince Archimedes has added some additional laws for the Kindred of Detroit to follow. Enforcement of these rules is held in as high regard as enforcement of The Traditions is.
The Edict of Order
The civil order and sanctuary of the kine is guaranteed by the Prince, who holds the exclusive right to oversee the surveillance and wellbeing of the kine. It is thus strictly forbidden to influence the mortal police, military, or political process without the Prince's prior knowledge and approval.
The Edict of Communications
Agents and institutions of the mortal press are to be avoided and ignored at all times. All means of correspondence between Kindred and ghouls shall be conducted in secrecy and confidentiality lest those not of the Blood witness or intercept them. Always meet in person to discuss Kindred matters. Doing otherwise shall be considered a violation of the First Tradition and will meet the most severe of punishments.
The Edict of Property
None shall steal, destroy, or alter the property of another Kindred without their prior permission. No extraordinary property of the Kindred may be transported into or out of the Domain of Detroit without the prior authorization of the Prince.
The Edict of Elysium
The buildings and grounds protected by the Elysium will not be sullied by violence, vandalism, breach of the Traditions or Edicts, or the hunt. Provoking another into violating the sanctity of Elysium without the authorization of the Prince or Keeper of Elysium can be punished by any means seen fit. Access to Elysium shall be restricted to Kindred of the Camarilla and those of other clans who have not been marked for the Blood Hunt.
The Edict of Disciplines
The Practice of any Disciplines or magical rites in a way that violates any of The Traditions or Edicts is strictly forbidden. The acceptance of any clan in Detroit is conditioned by the behavior of its members in this regard.
The Edict of The Amaranth
Those who act in ways unworthy of their Blood, as decided solely by the Prince, can be subject to the Amaranth. Diablerie is a terrible crime under any conditions. Any Kindred guilty of diablerie may be Blood Hunted, no matter who was the victim or where it happened. Only the Prince has the right to decide what is diablerie and what is not.
