Shapeshifting Rules

The Shapeshifting Tree is still in progress, but I wanted to get a start on some ideas here...

The Tell

A Lunar's Tell increases as he progresses down certain charm branches in the Shapeshifting trees, with more mastery of such potent charms giving him a more potent Tell. In general, most Lunars will end up with a Tell at the lowest levels.

In general, a tell-increasing charm will state what level it increases the Lunar's tell to. These tell increases are not cumulative; use the largest modifier available. Only Elder Lunars or those who have specialized to a large degree are likely to start with 4 or 5 dot Tells.

0 - Some Lunars, that largely stay away from Shapeshifting Charms, will have no effective tell.
1 - A Lunar with a One-dot Tell is slightly colored by his tell, gaining some small easily hidden mark that is uniquely his own. Examples are shock white hair, or particularly colored-eyes.
2 - A Lunar with a Two-dot Tell has a firm and obvious tell, perhaps easy to overlook but daming when it is finally noted. Examples might can be defined as an odd birthmark, white blood, or a well-hidden animal feature.
3 - A Lunar with a Three-dot Tell has definately been branded, and gains a distinctive and fairly obvious tell of some kind. Examples might include backwards-bending joints, a strange whirling pattern on ones skin, or eyes of an unusual material.
4 - A Lunar with a Four-dot Tell is drastically marked by his magic, and his form has begun to change in some permanent and impressive fashion. Examples might include severe albinism, ones hair changing into moonsilver, or having multiple rows of sharp teeth like a shark.
5 - A Lunar with a Five-dot Tell is permanently maimed by his Protean Nature, gaining a massive and unchangable inherent trait. Examples might include snakes in places of ones hair, having a goats legs, or massive claws in place of hands.
