Unrelenting Observation Method
Cost: 3 motes Duration: Instant Type: Reflexive Minimum Awareness: 4 Minimum Essence: 2 Prerequisite Charms: Sensory Acuity Prana
A character with this charm is flawlessly observant, always flitting on the edge of awareness and perfectly observant. Distractions simply aren't, and the only time he has to worry about missing something is when he simply doesn't recognize its significance or deliberately lowers his guard to something approaching mortal levels. Whenever the player is asked to make an Awareness roll, the character can spend 3 motes to activate this charm. The Storyteller informs the character of whatever it is that the character was to notice, with all relevant details revealed to the character as if he had rolled any necessary amount of successes. The player can also choose to use this charm at any time, simply to ensure that he hasn't missed anything important in a given scene.
If used as part of a resisted roll, the character only automatically succeeds against mortals. Instead add the characters Awareness rating as automatic successes to overcome the stealth effects of other Essence-channelers. This charm does not automatically provide the character with a Awareness roll to pierce a Stealth charm or effect, and does not work unless the character gains some kind of Awareness roll to resist the effect.
Sun's Lofty Gaze
Cost: 6 motes Duration: One minute Type: Simple Minimum Awareness: 5 Minimum Essence: 3 Prerequisite Charms: Unsurpassed Sight Discipline
The Unconquered Sun sees creation from on high, his sight scourging every last crevace of the world with his pure and unyielding sight. With this charm, the Solar Exalted can take some of that sight upon himself and see Creation as the Unconquered Sun sees it. For a single pure minute, the character can observe an area roughly 100 miles in diameter per point of Essence from a vantage point on high as if he was a high soaring bird. This sight is somewhat rough and vague, as if from a great distance, but is more than sufficient to make out topography, large geographical features, roads, cities and towns, farmland and villages, and other signs of civilization. This charm is generally too vague to make out individual travellers except in very open terrain, but can be used to spot large parties, caravans or any armies that might be present in the area. If the character uses this charm while he has Unsurpassed Sight Discipline active, the Solar can make out even more detail.
