There is little that escapes the notice of the Earth. It knows how much you weigh, how you carry yourself, where you have been and what you've done. A Terrestrial can tap some of that knowledge with this charm, closely examining an area in detail -- making note of minor disturbances and the various marks upon the landscape (broken twigs, bent grass, spilled blood). The Dragon-Blooded must roll Intelligence + Awareness, with a difficulty equal to the number of days since the scene he's observing occurred. A single success gives the Exalt a rough overview of events, enough to identify anyone he's familiar with and a rough flow of events. Three successes provide more detail, enough to provide a rough description of unfamiliar individuals as well as a mostly complete description of events. Five successes allow the Exalted to learn what transpired with the same level of detail as if he'd been there himself. If an event took place entirely unconnected to earth or stone, this charm cannot describe it. The ground floor counts for this purpose but events get progressively more vague as you ascend into the air.

The Earth is always watching, and an Exalt who uses this charm is just as vigilant. The Dragon-Blooded who activates this charm sits himself down near the area he wishes to guard, and takes his vigil. He may maintain this charm for as long as he wishes, but any activity greater than light meditation or small shifts in position will disrupt the magic. Any Awareness rolls made while this charm is active can be rerolled a number of times equal to the Dragon-Blooded's Essence rating (for a total of 1 + Essence rolls), with the Dragon-Blooded choosing the best result from among the rolls. Every three hours of vigilance with this charm requires a Stamina + Endurance roll, starting at difficulty 1 and raising by one for every three hours. On a failure, the Dragon-Blooded undertakes some action that disrupts his attention and must begin the charm again.
