- Hugo obtained Dorian's phone number from Anne Lawrence, the Prince's assistant

- Hugo contacted Dorian, who met Hugo in a 24/hour diner by Romare Bearden Park

- Johnny was following Hugo and spied on the meeting while in Obfuscate
⚠ </br>
- Hugo caused a scene when he found out he was being followed
⚠ </br>
- The reason Hugo contacted Dorian was to ask for help from a former ghoul that would understand his plight
⚠ </br>
- Johnny offers to feed Hugo, but Hugo tries to hold onto the vampire and drain more blood than Johnny wants to give
⚠ </br>
- Hugo agrees to take Johnny and Dorian to see Stephanie's apartment
⚠ </br>
- Percy shows up while scouting the area for places to hunt and decides to accompany Johnny to get a toe into the investigation
⚠ </br>
- At the apartment, they find Stephanie's bolt-hole undisturbed, her apartment totally trashed, evidence of a forced entry and a broken wooden stake, but no remains or direct evidence of a struggle

- Percy talks to a teenage neighbor and finds out that Stephanie was quiet, except for a big disturbance 3 weeks ago
⚠ </br>
- Dorian talks to a little old black lady and finds out that a black van was hanging around about three weeks ago
⚠ </br>
- Dorian decides to feed on the woman, forcing his way into her apartment and assaulting her. She screams and tries to ward him off with her silver cross necklace. He frenzies and attacks her, leaving her unconscious and severely wounded
⚠ </br>
- Percy, Hugo and Johnny break into the apartment just as Dorian emerges from Frenzy
⚠ </br>
- Johnny decides to finish the old woman off, and quickly tries to stage the scene for the police
⚠ </br>
- The three vampires flee the scene and return to the park to review their findings
⚠ </br>
- Stephanie was paid $4,000 a month by someone instead of having a job, and that she was smug about the payments
⚠ </br>
- Stephanie lived in the low-rent apartment to throw off suspicion, but she also lived with Hugo
⚠ </br>
- At Hugo's house, Johnny investigates Stephanie's belongings and finds a strange silver necklace with an unknown pendant
⚠ </br>
- Percy identifies the cross-like symbol as representing a group of vampires, but he can't recall which one
⚠ </br>
- Johnny also finds the deposit receipt from one of Stephanie's checks, with a name and address for the issuing company
⚠ </br>
- St. John's Catering Service is registered as a local business, but it has no online presence at all, and exists only in an office park
⚠ </br>
- Johnny also spies a black van creeping past Hugo's house, but it disappears
⚠ </br>
- Everyone goes out and gets into Johnny's jeep to drive to Kendra's Kuriosities so that Kendra can identify the necklace
⚠ </br>
- The black van turns out to have parked at the end of the street, almost out of sight, and starts up to follow the jeep
⚠ </br>
- Johnny uses the jeep to block the van in the driveway it was hiding in, two people get out and run away when confronted
⚠ </br>
- The tall, skinny, goatee'd male driver escapes from Johnny
⚠ </br>
- The short, skinny female passenger is caught by Percy, but Percy has burned all his blood and he enters a Hunger Frenzy
⚠ </br>
- Percy drinks the woman dry, killing her silently on the lawn of this house in Hugo's neighborhood
⚠ </br>
- Johnny tackles Percy and feeds him enough blood to end the Hunger Frenzy
⚠ </br>
- Percy and Dorian put the woman's body into the van and drive off
⚠ </br>
- Johnny goes to feed before he gets into hunger-trouble himself
