These are supernatural Derangements that take hold when a vampire abuses a specific Discipline too often. All of these Derangements can be suppressed for a scene by spending 1 WP.
Animal Personification: You begin to believe that animals are as fully intelligent, rational and personable as humans. You speak with them and treat them as ordinary people, even when not using Animalism. Further, you fully expect them to respond in kind and interpret their actions as having greater meaning. This extremely odd behavior causes a +2 difficulty on Social rolls with anyone that has witnessed it, +3 if it is currently on-going.
Unconscious Reading: You've become so used to knowing the thoughts and feelings of those around you that the extraneous perceptions have also begun to filter into your senses even when you are not intentionally using any powers. Auras flicker in your sight, you hear snatches of thought and feel faint echoes of emotional impressions from everything you touch. You are constantly distracted, suffering +3 difficulty on any roll requiring concentration.
Temporal Disorientation: So used to moving at incredible speeds, the world around you is too slow. Your inability to regulate yourself to outside paces and movement limitations constantly affects you, making it difficult to interact with the world. When not actively using a Celerity power, you are a +1 difficulty for all actions.
Empathic Blindness: You cannot see others as anything but tools to serve your ends. Their feelings, thoughts and lives cease to matter. This attitude imposes a +3 difficulty on all Social rolls with anyone who is not engaged in following your orders. It also increases the chance to Frenzy when you are refused.
Lack of Survival Instinct: Danger is now alien to you. You have lost the ability to comprehend your own vulnerability. In combat, you receive a +2 Courage bonus, but refuse to Block, Parry or Dodge attacks. In order to withdraw from a fight or danger, you must roll Willpower (difficulty based on the degree of danger, but never lower than 6.)
Compulsive Invisibility: Hiding from sight is so natural to you that being visible makes you paranoid and uncomfortable. In order to break Obfuscate, you must roll Willpower (difficulty 6). Otherwise, it is assumed you have at least one Obfuscate ability active. Generally you will only break Obfuscate for very important tasks, and will hide again as soon as you possibly can. Any roll to directly draw attention to yourself is at +2 difficulty.
Disdain of Weakness: You have lost the ability, or desire, to regulate your superhuman strength. In fact, you do not understand why you should. Your full strength is applied to any task, making it quite hard (+3 difficulty) to engage in any task with fragile tools or materials. Even ordinary interactions, such as handshakes, can be treated as attacks.
Unconscious Influence: Whenever you find yourself in a social situation that is not going your way, you must roll Willpower (difficulty 8) to avoid using Presence powers to force those you are interacting with to do as you want.
Uncontrolled Shifting: Your Protean abilities activate in unintentional, uncontrollable response to your feelings. If threatened, you might spontaneously Earth Meld or vaporize into Mist Form. If threatened, you may activate Feral Claws or Bestial Visage. The blood cost of these activations is not suspended. Roll Willpower (difficulty 8) to avoid activating an appropriate Protean ability when in stressful situations.
