Ophelia watched Cole die (and come back to life) So, they both gain 2 Strings on each other. already done
Ophelia owes debts. She divides 3 Strings among the other characters and The Queen. one to queen, one to ping, one to aubrielle
Ping thinks they can save Ophelia. She gets a String on them. done
Abrielle has two sympathetic tokens from other characters - one from Cole and one from Ping. done
Ophelia caught Abrielle rummaging through Cole's stuff, but kept quiet. They get a String on her. done

PREVIOUS YEARS

Abrielle, Cole and Ophelia go to the same high school for their freshman and sophomore years. Abrielle suffers abuse at home, Cole is a goof-off slacker, and Ophelia is.... kind of intense I guess? Abrielle studies spellbooks as an escape.
Ping goes to a different high school somewhere else.

END OF LAST YEAR

Abrielle finally tries to cast a spell on her abusive father, and SOMETHING HAPPENS and it works!
The very next day, Cole makes fun of Abrielle for having an abusive father. Cole decides to hex her and breaks into her locker, but Ophelia catches her. For some reason, Ophelia doesn't tell anybody, and Abrielle doesn't hex Cole after all. Cole has already forgotten the entire incident.

LAST SUMMER

During the summer just gone, Ping finds her fae-summoning ritual, summons the fairy called Pox, tricks Pox out of a piece of soul, and thus steals the Fae gift. Pox survives and swears revenge.
Ping starts to have bad dreams about fairies.
Ping and her family move to the same town as everyone else over the summer.
Abrielle meets Ping at some Crazy Witch Mixer during the summer. From the meeting, Abrielle learns the information that Ping knows how to summon fairies.
During the summer, Cole and Ophelia are hanging out doing dangerous and drug-related things.

THE INCIDENT

Ophelia calls Abrielle and is all "make him better with witchiness k" (asks? bribes? coerces? begs?)
Abrielle can't help but calls on Ping, because FAIRIES
Ping is all "sure here's a fairy" *does ritual*

OPHELIA SELLS HER SOUL!!!!! to the fae queen I mean
Cole comes back to life, but now she is all different and it is weird.
Ophelia now has the Queen in her head being all like devil on her shoulder like in the Simpsons, only like real
