The magical arts of Thaumaturgy were bastardized from Hermetic magics by the Tremere mages after their transformation to vampires. Thaumaturgy is the most widely spread form of blood magic; it is most certainly the most prolific. The Hermetic arts focus on control of the elements, transmutation and summoning.
