- Investigating Murph's office uncovered notes showing that he was also looking into a case where a large shipping container was stolen from a warehouse leased by the Miskatonic University.

- The coterie gathered at Velma's Diner to meet with Diana Stanely, the one who hired them to deal with Murphy in the first place.

- Miss Stanely paid them for their work, but was very interested when she was told of the monsters.

- A deal was arranged to sell one of the recovered monster bodies to Stanley's 'associates'.

- Leo decided that while the sale went on, he would hide and then follow the buyer back to their home or office.

- The drop-off went cleanly, with no problem getting the payment or leaving the monster's body to be taken.

- Leo successfully negotiated sneaking after the buyer, and following them to a very large house at the edge of town, in Southside.

- Sneaking around the house to reconoiter, Leo broke into one of the rear windows.

- Leo was burned, but not badly, by warded curtains while trying to enter the building.

- When he heard someone approaching the store room he had broken into, Leo fled.

- After escaping as the intruder alarms in the house sounded, ahead of any pursuit, Leo returned to the others to inform them of what he'd learned.
- Each member of the coterie received a note the next evening, delivered to their mailing address.

- At the Arkham Public Library, the coterie met with Mandy Thompson, whose services as a researcher have been retained by Mr. Whateley.

- The meeting took place after Mr. Whateley used his mental powers to ensure that none of the coterie could communicate any details of their discussion to anyone not party to the conversation.

- Mr. Whateley revealed that he wanted the coterie's assistance regaining an artifact that had been stolen from the keeping of the Miskatonic *University's archaeology department.

- He believes that the artifact is the key to gaining undreamed of power.

- If the coterie aids him, he will reward them once he has the power.
