Detroit By Night

Buhl Building

Penoscobot Building

This 47-story skyscraper is based on a simple H-shaped shaft. Setbacks above the 30th floor
form an interesting cubistic pattern topped by an observation platform and a bright, blinking aircraft
beacon, once a hallmark of the city. Inside, the warm-colored marble floors feature intricate
geometric designs, with Indian eagles on the elevator doors and mailboxes. The interior shops
include a large Doubleday bookstore, the Mediterranean-flavored Epicurean Café, and John T.
Woodhouse & Sons tobacconist, whose interior is inlaid with rare woods.

The Tremere probably had something to do with the unusual design of this structure, as they
have long used it to direct their mundane business interests. Those with preternatural senses
report that the architectural details blur together and can make one feel clouded if they are
stared at too long. Perhaps this is some mystical protection to prevent outsiders from spying
too much on the warlocks' temporal affairs? In any case, kindred gatherings that are held
here are exclusively hosted by them.
