Detroit By Night

Conclaves

Saint Louis, Missouri

The conclave in St. Louis all occurred on very short notice for some of us who were just returning from New Orleans where we had been sent to find the "source" of this Blood Disease.

Upon leaving the city, we were told to get ourselves to St. Louis rather than Detroit.

There were 200-300 kindred present at this conclave and the matter at hand most relevant to us was the discussion of strategy to reclaim Detroit from Sabbat hands.

Winston Adonis was named the Tribune for this effort, the previous Tribune, name unknown, was assassinated the night before. Traci Casoli at this time was named the Dux Bellorum.

At this conclave, we spoke of phases of the War on the Sabbat, phase I being to allow the Sabbat to invade the city of Detroit, and then launch a counter attack. Needless to say, some "factions" of the camarilla were angered at this strategy.

JT Wright was also present at the conclave, not having travelled to New Orleans with the rest of us. He, however, left the conclave early after having a discussion with Winston Adonis, only stopping to tell Mai that she had no idea how power hungry her sire was.

Mai was mad at Winston at the moment as well because of Priscilla but that's minor news.

Also present at the conclave were:

Winston MacDonald who reported that detroit was abandoned and that he was petitioning to be allowed into another city.

Phyllis?, Maurice, who incidentally thought we were supposed to be dead, and Michael of the Toreador clan.

The lovely and talented Martin who had some more questions about what we were doing on the boat.

Marcellus and Strauss were also present. Marcellus was supposed to be there for questioning, but it really became more of a "magic show" involving him and Strauss. Part of Marcellus's testimony at the time was that the prince himself (who is not the same prince as current) approved his work on the blood disease, and Marcellus was given the blood 250 years ago. In 1967, Marcellus left detroit, established an instituted, and continued his work in New Orleans. Marcellus also said that Archimedes did not dissappear and that he has seen him since 1967.

At about this time, Jenny Olson was brought forward, and Marcellus claimed he had never seen her before. Strauss disagreed.

We were dismissed to a smaller meeting that involved Strauss, Marcellus, Jon Areson, Winston, and ourselves. Strauss and Marcellus bickered among themselves until a crate was brought containing an urn much like the types of urns we'd seen at Irving s place before.

Strauss grabs the urn, says "dad liked you best" and fell down. Marcellus said "of course he did. I taste better" and fell down too.

Winston at this point conceded that being a tribune is about the worst thing they can do to a person.

A list was comandeered somehow from Marcellus indicated names of all people who had been in his "care" in the past and Mai is shocked to see that Winston, her sire, is also on the list.

There is no time to discuss this as Traci appears and gives a motivational speech about how the upcoming crusade is not about just Detroit, but about America, and not just against the sabbat but against anarchs and autarchs. She informs our small group that there are other groups of crusaders as well.

Having been handed our duty, that was the end of the conclave for our group as we had to get back to Detroit and begin the crusade.
