Dominate

Level 1 - Command

Force your target to obey a one-word order.⚠ </br>

System: Roll Manipulation + Intimidation (difficulty of the target's Willpower). Success determines the strength and duration of the command. Orders that are directly harmful to the subject or against his Nature will generally fail.

Level 2 - Mesmerize

Issue complex, conditional orders, or implant a post-hypnotic suggestion.⚠ </br>

System: Roll Manipulation + Leadership (difficulty of the target's Willpower). Success determines how far outside normal behavior the target can be compelled to act. Orders that are directly harmful to the subject or against his Nature will generally fail. Only one command can be implanted at a time. To over-write an existing command you must have more successes than the original Dominator. Ties go to the newer command.

Level 3 - The Forgetful Mind

Implant false memories or remove old memories from a target's mind.⚠ </br>

System: Roll Wits + Subterfuge (difficulty of the target's Willpower). If successful, the target is pacified (unless attacked) while the vampire describes a new memory, or removes an old one. Successes determine the detail level possible to implant and the scope of changes that can be made. To restore memories previously removed, you must have a higher Dominate rating than the one who removed them, then roll Wits + Empathy (difficulty of the original Dominator's Willpower) and score more successes than the original Dominator did. You cannot restore your own memories.

Level 4 - Conditioning

Brainwash a target so they will follow your commands more faithfully. This treatment also makes your minions resistant to the commands of other vampires.⚠ </br>

System: Make an extended Charisma + Leadership roll (difficulty of the target's Willpower). You must accumulate 5-10 times the target's Self-Control in successes. You can only roll once per night. Once conditioned, the vampire can Dominate the target without eye contact or even physical presence. Your orders can now bypass the normal limit on self-harm and Nature opposition. The difficulty for anyone but you to supernaturally compel the target is increased by 2.

Level 4 - Hypnotic Trance

Put your target into a trance so they can't remember your commands or their Dominated actions.⚠ </br>

System: Spend a WP and roll Manipulation + Subterfuge (difficulty of the target's Willpower). If successful, the target falls into a trance that lasts for 1 minute per success. While they are in this trance, Dominate or other powers can be used on them. They wake from the trance after it ends with no memory of what happened while they were in it. If they are commanded to take an action by Dominate while in the trance, they will do so. If the action ends before the trance does, they have no memory of their actions.
In a high-pressure situation such as combat, the trance lasts for 1 turn per success instead. Under any circumstances, the trance ends if the subject is physically harmed.

Level 5 - Possession

Take complete control of a mortal target's mind and body.
System: Spend a WP, then roll Charisma + Intimidation, resisted by a WP roll (diff 7 for both). The target loses one temporary WP for each net success the vampire gains. When the target has no temporary WP left, the possession begins. The vampire rolls Manipulation + Intimidation (diff 7) to determine how many powers he can use while controlling his minion.
