Abyss Mastery ***
All Abyssals have been touched by the cold hand of Death, but all have bested him within his own realm. What few of them understand is that Death is but one aspect of the force known as Oblivion, the Void, the Abyss True. In their conquest they proved their mastery of this force. While it is not theirs to command, they can coax knowledge from its depths.

Artifact ****
The blade known now as Sliver was in a way brought back from Death's realm, though its nature was fused with Shiv's own mortal blade.

Familiar *****
Garm, the Barghest you brought back from beyond the Pale Veil. This is an Powerful (+4), Unliving (+3) animal. Garm is more than Very Clever (+1), but Intelligent (+1). He can easily be Expressive about his thoughts and feelings with Shiv (+1). He has Sensory Sharing (+1), a Sensory Bond (+1) that reaches up to a mile. Also, by speaking an ancient phrase, "Ifuu dru-na khen.", in a whisper, Garm can be summoned rapidly as long as he has darkness to enter, running strange and foreboding passages till he reaches his master. Strangely, this phrase is one known by Glymn, Shiv remembers. But he can't remember why Glymn knew it. This is the Call of the Void (+2).

Resources *
Slavers tend to have money. While you normally give much of it away to those you free, you keep some for your own operating costs. This keeps you well fed and able to stay the night in towns you come across.
