- An Outcaste Terrestrial in his middle years, Rivers lives in the Far East in the village where Myrrh Nellens went to discover how to enter his tomb back on Brume. He is married to the cave goddess Crystal Fountains?, but the have some marital problems.

- A Deathknight who appeared when the Circle left Brume for Chiaroscruo, attacking them and attempting to force them away from the South. He has appeared once more, trying again to prevent the Circle's attempts to pursue their investigation. Both times he has been driven away, but not before badly wounding Corve each time.
